We turn this commitment into action by: Positioning humans as active participants within the natural world and compelling the university community and our publics to negotiate the full complexity that entails Advancing partnerships, programs, user experience, and all that we steward to catalyze access and impact in a radically changing world Emerging as University of Michigan's premier partner for research, teaching, and public impact in sustainability, climate\-forward practices, and biocultural diversity Promoting healthier communities, cultures, and ecosystems through active care and cultivation of the gardens, fields, natural habitats, and dynamic systems that sustain our world Job Summary --------------- The University Outreach and Education Coordinator is responsible for the ongoing management and coordination of curricular and co\-curricular outreach and engagement with UM students, faculty, and staff; support research and creative scholarship relationships and agreements with Faculty and appropriate MBGNA staff as necessary; manage the MBGNA Internship Program and other associated student\-facing programs; and provide coordination and oversight for student organizations sponsored by MBGNA. You will report to the Education Lead and oversee 1\-2 student staff. This is a two\-year term\-limited position. Responsibilities\ ---------------------- Internship Program: Oversee all aspects of the Internship Program and its implementation, on behalf of the Education Team and MBGNA as a whole. This includes development and implementation of organizational learning outcomes, updating training materials, annual internship recruitment and search processes, and iterative programmatic improvement Curricular and Co\-Curricular Coordination: Cultivate, manage, and deliver engagement with campus constituents to drive curricular and co\-curricular programming, events, and experiences. Create and manage University collaborations including MBGNA's curricular integrations, student research and engagement, co\-curricular student groups, and other relevant projects Outreach and Engagement: Plan and represent MBGNA at relevant student\- and faculty\-facing campus events/programs as well as on relevant university committees and initiatives Research Relationships and Agreement Coordination: Collaborate with the Assistant Director for Campus as Lab in managing Faculty research relationships and agreements, including MBGNA agreements with faculty and departments, and coordinate with appropriate MBGNA staff toward research actualization Cultivate MBGNA's role on campus as lab / living learning lab space for sustainability work on campus Manage student awards and prizes aligned with MBGNA strategic goals; including outreach to UM units, application intake, and rubric creation for award selections Other duties as assigned Required Qualifications\ ----------------------------- Bachelor's Degree in a related field, a minimum of 5 years related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and related experience 5\+ years of experience with project or event management to include: planning, evaluation, and continuous improvement and experience managing multiple projects 7\+ years of experience developing, and evaluating university student learning or programs Experience establishing relationships and channels of communication at multiple levels and with diverse groups internal and external to the organization/University Demonstrated experience working with students with minoritized identities Demonstrated knowledge of issues faced by higher ed students Experience preparing and delivering presentations to constituents at different levels Modes of Work ----------------- Positions that are eligible for hybrid or mobile/remote work mode are at the discretion of the hiring department. On occasion, the employee may be required and must be available to work onsite more frequently if necessitated by unit leadership or their designee and/or the job requirements.
