About The Sleep MD The Sleep MD is a growing sleep medicine practice based in El Paso, Texas, focused on helping patients across the country improve their sleep, health, and quality of life. We provide patient\-centered sleep care through a combination of in\-person services, telemedicine, home sleep testing, treatment coordination, and ongoing patient support. Position Overview The Patient Care Coordinator will support patients throughout their care journey, including scheduling, patient communication, intake support, documentation follow\-up, home sleep test coordination, treatment plan routing, and general patient support. This is an on\-site role in El Paso. The ideal candidate is reliable, organized, comfortable using modern technology, and able to communicate clearly and compassionately with patients. Prior healthcare experience is helpful but not required. We are more focused on finding someone who is dependable, tech\-savvy, coachable, and excited to grow in a fast\-moving healthcare environment. Key Responsibilities Answer patient calls, respond to messages, and assist with patient support needs. Help patients schedule, reschedule, and prepare for appointments. Support intake completion, documentation follow\-up, and patient readiness before visits. Assist with home sleep test coordination, patient instructions, shipment/return follow\-up, and escalation of delayed items. Help patients understand next steps in their care journey. Use web\-based tools to document updates, track patient status, and communicate with the team. Coordinate with clinical, billing, operations, and leadership team members as needed. Follow internal workflows, scripts, checklists, and escalation processes. Maintain patient confidentiality and handle sensitive health information appropriately. Help improve processes by identifying recurring patient issues, workflow gaps, or communication breakdowns. Required Qualifications Must be able to work on\-site in El Paso, TX. Must be reliable, punctual, and available Monday through Friday. Must be open to evening shifts and occasional Saturday shifts as business needs evolve. Must be bilingual and fluent in both English and Spanish. The Sleep MD serves a large population of Spanish\-speaking patients, and this role requires the ability to communicate clearly, professionally, and compassionately with patients in Spanish. Strong comfort using modern web\-based technology. Proficiency with Google Workspace, including: Gmail, Google Docs, Google Sheets, Google Drive and Google Calendar Comfortable using phone systems, call platforms, or telephony tools. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to multitask while staying organized and accurate. Proficiency in learning new systems quickly. Professional, patient, and service\-oriented communication style. Ability to follow structured workflows and escalate issues appropriately. High attention to detail. Ability to handle confidential patient information responsibly. Preferred Qualifications Experience in patient support, customer service, call center support, medical office support, or administrative coordination. Experience using electronic health records or healthcare software. Experience using Slack Experience supporting patients or customers through web\-based tools, portals, chat, email, SMS, or phone systems. Telemedicine or virtual care experience. Startup, high\-growth company, or fast\-paced operations experience. Healthcare experience is a plus, but not required.
