- Associate’s degree in public administration or equivalent; and
- 4 years of progressively responsible experience providing complex administrative support and management assistance, preferably working in a similar role and department; and
- Progressively responsible experience involving agenda collection management, record keeping, open meeting laws, election administration or related duties; and
- Arizona Notary Public Certification within six (6\) months of hire or promotion; and
- Passport Acceptance Agent Certification within six (6\) months of hire or promotion; or
- Any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the knowledge and abilities necessary to perform the work.
The City of Chandler City Clerk’s Office is currently seeking qualified individuals interested in joining our team as a Management Assistant. The position is scheduled to work Monday through Friday, 8:00 am \- 5:00 p.m. Current City of Chandler employees may only hold one position and are not eligible for additional part\-time or secondary positions within the City of Chandler. Who we are
The City Clerk’s Office offers a wide range of services to the residents of Chandler and the surrounding communities. Election assistance and passport applications are just some of the services provided, along with a multitude of information and records regarding the City Code and City Council actions. The City Clerk’s Office preserves legal documents and is the source of information on City Council legislation and actions.
The City Clerk’s Office conducts all municipal elections, assists the Mayor in administering the appointment of members to serve on various City boards and commissions, and provides services to the public including passport services, public records requests, and oversees Chandler's boards and commissions, and the Chandler Municipal Code and City Charter. Who we are looking for
Our new team member will have a passion for customer service, teamwork, and collaboration. We are seeking someone who provides advanced\-level administrative support and office management for the City Clerk’s Office, including independently handling confidential administrative tasks, researching and responding to escalated requests, compiling information and preparing original reports, assisting with budget preparation and tracking, and coordinating assigned administrative projects and program logistics.

This is a regular full\-time position, subject to a 6\-month probationary period. A register of qualified candidates will be active for 4 months should another position become available.
