    Job Summary

  • The FP\&A Assistant provides entry\-level support for financial planning, reporting, and administrative functions within the Financial Planning \& Analysis office. This position assists with data entry, report preparation, reconciliation, and routine financial support activities while learning institutional budgeting and financial processes. The role works closely with FP\&A staff and campus stakeholders to ensure accurate financial information and efficient operations.

    Responsibilities

  • Assist with data entry and maintenance of budget, forecast, and financial planning information
  • Prepare routine financial reports, spreadsheets, and supporting documentation
  • Review financial data for accuracy and completeness and report discrepancies to FP\&A staff
  • Support the preparation and distribution of budget and forecast materials
  • Maintain organized electronic and physical financial records and files
  • Assist with monitoring expenditures and tracking budget activity
  • Respond to routine requests for financial information and documentation
  • Support position budgeting and personnel tracking activities as directed
  • Utilize institutional financial systems, spreadsheets, and reporting tools to complete assigned tasks
  • Participate in training and professional development related to budgeting, finance, and higher education operations
  • Collaborate with FP\&A staff and campus departments to support operational and reporting needs

  • Coursework or training in business, accounting, finance, or related field
  • Preferred Experience

  • Experience using Microsoft Excel or similar spreadsheet software
  • Experience in an office, customer service, or administrative support environment

  • $19\.23 \- $20\.19 per hour

    *This is a non\-exempt position paid on a biweekly basis.*
