The Kalamazoo Regional Educational Service Agency (KRESA) is a critical part of Michigan’s education system serving the Greater Kalamazoo region and provides specialized services to schools and communities and optimizes resources by centralizing innovative programs and services. We partner with school districts and the broader community to offer essential programs including early childhood education, special education, career learning, and educator development, ensuring that learners of all ages receive the support they need.
We are currently seeking an Administrative Assistant at the KRESA Career Connect Campus in Kalamazoo, Michigan. The essential responsibilities for this position include but are not limited to:
- Align services with KRESA Core Values (Collaboration, Innovation, Compassion, Respect, and Integrity) and Culture \& Belonging principles to engage and serve all students
- Answer incoming calls, direct them appropriately, and take accurate messages
- Maintain a clean and organized reception area
- Assist with coordination of professional learning events within Career Connect Campus
- Coordinate student parking passes with administration and student ID’s
- Oversee substitute systems to minimize any disruptions to student learning
- Respond to inquiries from students, parents, staff and community members via phone, email, or in person
- Utilize the campus security systems for maintaining a safe learning environment for staff and students
- Coordinate with facilities team and supply chain program to manage deliveries
- Manage incoming and outgoing mail
- Assist with data entry, document management, and maintaining accurate records for campus operations
- Monitor visitor access by issuing badges and maintaining visitor logs
- Play an active role in hosting campus events including orientations, open houses, parent\-teacher conferences, etc.
- Ensure office supplies are stocked by monitoring inventory and placing orders as needed
- Regular and consistent attendance
- Other duties as assigned
Qualified candidates will have a High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and six months related experience and/or training. Experience with Microsoft Office Suite and experience in customer service.
This is a 11 month calendar position in job grade 12 with an annual rate of pay between $30,256\.88 and $43,166\.25\.
