Fairmont Management Inc. is seeking an experienced, driven, and highly organized Community Manager to lead operations at a large, 251\-unit garden\-style apartment community in West Covina.

Conveniently located just south of the 10 freeway and moments from the Westfield shopping mall, this community offers residents convenient access to shopping, dining, entertainment, and major commuter routes throughout the San Gabriel Valley and beyond.

This is an especially exciting time to join the property as the community prepares to launch a major courtyard renovation featuring new BBQ areas, fire pits, and outdoor dining spaces designed to create a resort\-style poolside experience. In addition, the property is actively renovating apartment interiors, offering residents a modern, elevated finish package alongside classic apartment homes.

We are looking for a leader who can successfully manage daily operations while helping guide the property through this exciting transformation. The ideal candidate is highly motivated, proactive, organized, and capable of balancing operational excellence with team leadership and resident satisfaction.

  • About the Role

  • As the Community Manager, you will oversee all aspects of the property’s operations, including leasing performance, resident relations, team leadership, financial management, maintenance coordination, and overall community presentation.

    This role requires a highly organized and proactive leader who can successfully manage multiple priorities, motivate onsite staff, and maintain exceptional operational standards in a fast\-moving environment.

    You will play a critical role in driving occupancy, resident retention, team development, and the successful execution of ongoing property renovations and enhancements.

  • Key Responsibilities

  • ### Leadership \& Operations

  • Lead and motivate the onsite management and maintenance teams
  • Delegate responsibilities effectively while maintaining accountability
  • Conduct daily team meetings and establish operational priorities
  • Ensure the property operates efficiently and professionally
  • Maintain strong curb appeal and community presentation standards
  • Coordinate vendor services, projects, and renovation activities
  • ### Leasing \& Financial Performance

  • Drive leasing performance and occupancy goals
  • Monitor market conditions and competitive communities
  • Oversee leasing strategy, pricing, renewals, and resident retention
  • Manage rent collections, delinquency, and notices
  • Operate within budget guidelines and monitor property expenses
  • Approve invoices, vendor contracts, and payroll reporting
  • ### Resident Experience

  • Build positive relationships with residents and vendors
  • Resolve resident concerns professionally and proactively
  • Support resident retention through excellent service and communication
  • Coordinate resident events and community engagement initiatives
  • Ensure service requests are completed promptly and satisfactorily
  • ### Administrative Oversight

  • Maintain accurate resident files and property records
  • Ensure compliance with Fair Housing and company policies
  • Utilize property management software efficiently and accurately
  • Conduct regular property inspections and safety oversight
  • Support ongoing training and development of onsite staff
  • Qualifications

  • ------------------
  • Previous Community Manager experience required with at least 5 years in conventional multifamily housing
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Excellent organizational, time management, and communication abilities
  • Experience managing large apartment communities (200\+ units) preferred
  • Knowledge of leasing, operations, budgeting, and resident relations
  • Strong understanding of market trends and property performance
  • Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast\-paced environment
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and property management software
  • Weekend availability as needed
