Overview

The Accounting Assistant at Allied Health and Chiropractic, LLC provides financial and administrative support to ensure accurate and efficient accounting operations within the practice. This role assists with accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll support, reconciliations, and financial recordkeeping while maintaining confidentiality and compliance with healthcare and company standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with daily accounting functions, including accounts payable and accounts receivable
  • Process invoices, payments, deposits, and expense reports accurately and in a timely manner
  • Reconcile bank statements, financial transactions, and account discrepancies
  • Support payroll processing and maintain payroll\-related records as needed
  • Maintain organized financial records, files, and supporting documentation
  • Enter and update financial information within accounting and practice management systems
  • Assist with preparing financial reports, spreadsheets, and account summaries
  • Monitor outstanding balances and support collections follow\-up activities
  • Coordinate with vendors, insurance providers, and internal staff regarding billing and payment inquiries
  • Support month\-end and year\-end accounting procedures
  • Maintain confidentiality of patient, employee, and financial information in accordance with HIPAA and company policies
  • Provide general administrative and office support as assigned
  • Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field preferred
  • 1–2 years of accounting, bookkeeping, or administrative experience preferred
  • Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial processes
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
  • Experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks or similar systems preferred
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and time management abilities
  • Pay: $24\.53 \- $29\.54 per hour
