Join a dynamic psychiatric private practice as a Remote Medical/Office Assistant on a PRN (as\-needed) or contract basis! Duties
- Greet and assist patients via phone or secure messaging, ensuring a warm and professional experience
- Manage appointment scheduling, rescheduling, and cancellations efficiently using electronic health record systems
- Verify patient insurance information and collect necessary documentation prior to appointments
- Prepare and organize patient charts, intake forms, and other clinical documentation with accuracy and confidentiality
- Assist clinicians with administrative tasks such as note\-taking during sessions or follow\-up correspondence
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations by safeguarding patient information at all times
- Support billing processes by verifying insurance details and processing payments when applicable
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a friendly, professional demeanor
- Strong organizational abilities to manage multiple tasks seamlessly in a fast\-paced environment
- Proficiency in Tebra systems and scheduling software; familiarity with telehealth platforms is a plus
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining high attention to detail
- Knowledge of healthcare privacy standards (HIPAA compliance) and medical terminology preferred
- Adaptability to changing priorities and willingness to learn new tools or procedures quickly
