National Capital Bank (NCB) is currently seeking a Full\-Time HR Generalist for our Headquarters location on Capitol Hill. Our HR Generalist position provides professional and confidential support to Human Resources Department across all HR responsibilities.

- Excellent attention to detail, accuracy and organizational skills are critical, plus the ability to multi\-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
- Work involves personal contact with employees and customers generally regarding routine matters.
- Office technology knowledge and advanced skills in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint is required.
- Knowledge and compliance with HR laws and regulations, including FMLA, ADA, and EEO, plus federal, state and jurisdiction employment laws.
- Two to five years of similar or related experience, including time spent in preparatory positions.
- At least two years of experience in HR and with HRIS software and other HR\-related systems.
- ADP Workforce Now experience is preferred.
- A college degree or equivalent combination of education and/or professional experience required.
+ Prepares all necessary documentation for and from new employees, creates orientation schedule and coordinates with Onboarding team.
+ The same applies during employment and upon separation regarding documentation responsibilities.
+ Maintains data and documentation in HR systems to produce data output for required reporting, for example: EEO\-1, Vets 4212, employee acknowledgements, etc.
+ Includes employee eFile management and organization.
+ Maintains accurate and current information in HR systems for example ADP and BalancedComp/BalancedResults.
+ Troubleshoots issues with systems and functionality errors.
+ Updates employee job descriptions (including FLSA classification compliance), performance evaluations, workflow wizards and templates.
+ Maintains HR Intranet Page and announcements of important employee information.
+ Conducts research and provides reports from HR databases and other sources for the HR department.
+ Serves as a backup for payroll entry and preparation for processing payroll.
+ Drafts and places position postings, screens applicants, coordinates scheduling internally and with recruiters for interviews, conducts phones screen interviews, updates interview questions for hiring department, completes reference and background checks, and distributes, collects and processes all necessary documentation from position opening through the interviewing process.
+ Coordinates process with hiring manager and conducts first interviews for non\-exempt positions and some exempt level positions.
+ Assists in administering NCB's benefit programs.
+ Provides employees with benefits information, and researches and resolves issues related to system of record and other 3rd parties.
+ Reviews and prepares all benefit invoices and other benefit payments/contributions for review, approval, and processing.
+ Provides administrative support to Department and HR Director to contribute an efficient, organized and high functioning department and positive employee experience.

$70,000 \- $80,000
