Ventus Executive Solutions is seeking a skilled Assistant Facility Security Officer (AFSO) – Part\-Timeto support an innovative program. You will support an industrial security program for a non\-possessing cleared contractor. You will assist in maintaining compliance with NISPOM requirements, supporting personnel security, reporting obligations, and day\-to\-day security operations in a primarily remote environment.
Work Location: Remote: (U.S.\-based) with occasional onsite support in Fairfax, VA
Part\-time 10\-20 hours/week
Travel:Less than 10%, 2\-4 trips per year
Clearance: Active TS required
Required Experience:
- Degree type in Business Administration, Security Management, Criminal Justice, or related field.
- 2\+ years of relevant work experience in industrial security, personnel security, or related field.
- Knowledge of NISPOM (32 CFR Part 117\) requirements.
- Experience supporting personnel security processes including onboarding, offboarding, and clearance tracking.
- Familiarity with visit authorization requests (VARs), foreign travel reporting, and security documentation.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred or relevant certifications (CDSE training).
- Completion of FSO Program Management for Non\-Possessing Facilities training.
- Experience with DISS, NISS, SWFT, NBIS, or similar systems.
- Familiarity with Insider Threat Program requirements and DCSA reporting.
- Experience supporting cleared government contractors.
- Strong collaboration and teamwork skills across distributed teams.
