#### Criminal Justice Information System (CJIS) Auditor

TAMARACK Technologies Inc. is seeking a highly qualified and experienced Auditor to provide audit, compliance, and analytical support to the Office of Special Investigations (OSI), Criminal Justice Information Center (AFCJIC). The ideal candidate will have demonstrated expertise in the criminal justice audit process, regulatory compliance, data analysis, and coordination with multi\-level stakeholders to ensure adherence to Federal, Department of Defense (DoD), and Department of the Air Force (DAF) policies.

Organization: U.S. Air Force – Criminal Justice Information Center – Office of Special Investigations

Location: Russell\-Knox Building (RKB), Quantico, VA

Salary Range: Commiserate with experience, education and qualifications as it relates to the knowledge, skills and abilities of the position.

Position Description: This position supports the AFCJIC as a subject matter expert (SME) in auditing, compliance, and oversight of Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) systems and related DAF indexing programs. The role focuses on ensuring adherence to the Federal, DoD, and Air Force policies through comprehensive evaluation of system use, records management, and organizational processes. This position is contingent upon a successful contract award.

#### Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Conduct audits of CJIS systems and user activities, including monthly and annual validations and record verification, ensuring compliance with CJIS polices and federal requirements.
  • Review and validate AFCJIC MAJCOM records and entries to ensure accuracy, completeness and adherences to established procedures and data quality standards.
  • Engage and provide support to assist and participate in Inspector General (IG) inspections and Staff Assistance Visits (SAV).
  • Work in concert with CHRI Data Manager to compile and provide analytical reports regarding compliance results from audits.
  • Coordinate with MAJCOM teams to monitor fieldlevel compliance and assist the DAF CJIS Systems Officer in conducting virtual and onsite terminal audits in accordance with FBI CJIS Security Policy, identifying and mitigating compliance risks.
  • Minimum Qualifications, Experience \& Education Requirements: All Requirements must be clearly annotated on resume. Experience must be shown in work history.

  • At least five (5\) years’ experience conducting audits.
  • Must possess or have the ability to obtain and maintain an active Top Secret Clearance with SCI eligibility.
  • Must pass a law enforcement records check.
  • Provide proof of citizenship using the I9 form and supporting documentation.
  • Knowledge, Skills, \& Abilities (KSA’s)

  • Indepth knowledge of Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) policies, FBI CJIS Security Policy, and DoD/Air Force regulations governing system use, auditing, and criminal administrative indexing.
  • Skill in conducting audits, inspections, and compliance reviews, including evaluating records, identifying discrepancies, and ensuring adherence to established standards and procedures.
  • Ability to analyze complex data sets, interpret audit findings, and develop clear, concise reports.
  • Skill in effectively coordinating multiple stakeholders and communicating requirements, findings, and corrective actions.
