About SLOLAF:
San Luis Obispo Legal Assistance Foundation (SLOLAF) is a non\-profit legal aid organization with a mission to provide legal services and resources to people in need. For decades, we’ve served low\-income residents, seniors, veterans, disabled adults, and other vulnerable populations, regardless of immigration status. With a staff of 12 full\-time and 4 part\-time employees and several volunteers, and offices in San Luis Obispo and Paso Robles, we provide free legal assistance to SLO County low\-income residents in the areas of housing (eviction defense, unsafe housing, foreclosure prevention etc.), domestic violence restraining orders, elder abuse restraining orders, conservatorships and guardianships of the person, and senior legal services.

Position Summary:
SLOLAF is seeking a highly organized, tech\-savvy, and proactive Executive Assistant to support the Executive Director in a wide range of administrative, strategic, and organizational functions.
This newly created role is ideal for someone who is a self\-starter, thrives in a fast\-paced nonprofit environment, and enjoys managing multiple priorities while helping advance an important mission. The Executive Assistant will play a key role in supporting board relations, staff development, fundraising efforts, grant writing and reporting, public relations, and day\-to\-day executive operations.
This flexible, part\-time position can be done mostly remote with some in person meetings and events.
Key Responsibilities:
· Support preparation of Board of Directors meeting materials, reports, agendas, and follow\-up items
· Assist with board communication, scheduling, and governance\-related tasks
· Coordinate staff development activities, trainings, and internal communications
· Assist with grant research, grant writing, reporting, and deadline tracking
· Support communications efforts including newsletters, social media coordination, community outreach, and marketing materials
· Track organizational deadlines, projects, and strategic priorities
· Help maintain organizational systems, files, and reporting tools
· Provide general administrative and project support to the Executive Director
· Assist with special projects and cross\-department collaboration as needed
Desired Skills and Experience:
· Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
· Strong technology skills and comfort learning new systems quickly
· Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, Zoom, Canva, donor databases, and project management tools preferred
· Strong writing and editing skills, especially for professional communications and grant\-related work
· Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and take initiative without close supervision
· Strong interpersonal skills and professionalism when working with board members, donors, staff, and community partners
· Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment
· Experience in nonprofit administration, fundraising, executive support, or legal services preferred
· Passion for social justice and commitment to SLOLAF’s mission
· Must work well with others and have a good sense of humor
Compensation and Benefits:
$25–$33/hour DOE
· Paid sick leave accrues at a rate of 1 hour for every 30 hours worked
