Job Title: Office Coordinator

Location: Christa McAuliffe Residential Community and Entrepreneurship Living Learning Community at Bowie State UniversityReports To: Associate Director of Campus HousingSalary: $21\.50\-$23\.50 per hour and a comprehensive benefits packageFLSA Status Non\-ExemptPositions: 2

The Office Coordinator serves as the primary administrative support for two on\-campus residential communities (ELLC \& CMRC) at Bowie State University. This role is responsible for front\-office operations, customer service, basic student account support, and clerical and administrative functions that support housing operations and resident services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Greet visitors and manage front desk operations
  • Answer and direct incoming phone calls and emails
  • Assist with basic resident account inquiries and collections support
  • Process payments and issue receipts in accordance with company policies
  • Maintain resident files and perform data entry in housing management systems (Entrata)
  • Coordinate mailings, process incoming/outgoing mail, and manage office supplies
  • Support leasing, move\-in, move\-out, and marketing activities
  • Assist site leadership with administrative tasks and supervision of student office assistants
  • Provide administrative support during peak periods and special events
  • Perform other duties as assigned

    To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • One to two years of clerical experience.
  • One to two years of customer service experience.
  • Ability to handle confidential information appropriately.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and E\-mail)
  • Ability to operate basic office equipment including photocopier and telephone. Basic typing and filing skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to move and lift up to 25 pounds.

This is not employment contract.
