About the Position: The Executive Assistant to the Chairman \& CEO serves as a strategic partner and operational extension of the CEO, supporting both day\-to\-day execution and longer\-term organizational initiatives. This role is responsible for managing priorities, driving organization, and ensuring alignment across internal and external stakeholders.

This position supports the CEO across a blend of professional responsibilities and select personal priorities to ensure overall effectiveness, continuity, and focus. The role requires a high level of ownership, discretion, and business acumen, with the ability to anticipate needs, manage competing priorities, and operate with minimal direction.

The role also works closely with the President and Executive Leadership Team to ensure alignment, communication, and follow\-through across key priorities, maximizing the effectiveness of the CEO and broader leadership structure.

Working Style \& Environment: The Chairman \& CEO is the second\-generation owner and leader of Global Water Technology, having assumed leadership from the company’s founder and built upon that foundation to grow the organization from approximately 6 employees in 2009 to nearly 200 today. This growth has been driven through a combination of organic expansion and more than 20 acquisitions, with a continued focus on scaling the organization and accelerating its impact.

Global Water Technology is a privately held, self\-funded organization with no outside equity partners. This structure allows the company to operate with a long\-term perspective, maintain control over its direction, and invest in its people, clients, and growth without external pressures.

The CEO operates in a fast\-paced, relationship\-driven environment with a strong emphasis on growth, culture, and long\-term value creation. He is hands\-on, highly engaged across the organization, and actively involved in strategic initiatives, client relationships, and organizational development.

This role will work closely with the CEO across a broad and evolving set of priorities. Key Responsibilities:

Executive Support \& Calendar Management

  • Manage and prioritize the CEO’s calendar, ensuring alignment with strategic priorities and the most effective use of time
  • Coordinate internal and external meetings, including preparation, logistics, and follow\-up
  • Anticipate scheduling conflicts and proactively resolve competing priorities
  • Serve as gatekeeper and facilitator for inbound requests
  • Executive Leadership Team Coordination

  • Partner with the President and Executive Leadership Team to ensure alignment on priorities, timelines, and key initiatives
  • Help drive coordination, communication, and follow\-through across leadership workstreams
  • Track and reinforce accountability on key action items and organizational priorities
  • Serve as a central point of connection between the CEO and leadership team, ensuring clarity and continuity across interactions
  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, communication flow, and overall effectiveness of the leadership team
  • Support the CEO in maximizing time, focus, and impact by ensuring leadership engagement is well\-structured, productive, and aligned
  • Communication \& Coordination

  • Draft, review, and manage communications on behalf of the CEO, including email, internal messaging, and external correspondence
  • Coordinate follow\-ups and ensure timely responses across stakeholders
  • Act as a liaison between the CEO and internal teams, clients, partners, and vendors
  • Ensure clarity and consistency in communication across workstreams
  • Meeting Preparation \& Execution

  • Prepare agendas, materials, and briefing documents for meetings
  • Capture key takeaways, decisions, and action items
  • Track and follow up on deliverables to ensure accountability and execution
  • Support recurring leadership meetings and cross\-functional sessions
  • Project \& Workstream Support

  • Assist in organizing and advancing key initiatives led by the CEO
  • Track progress across multiple projects and ensure alignment with timelines and objectives
  • Identify gaps, bottlenecks, or risks and proactively communicate potential solutions
  • Support coordination of strategic initiatives, including M\&A, organizational development, and operational improvements
  • Culture, Engagement \& CEO Presence

  • Support the CEO in fostering a positive, high\-performance culture across the organization
  • Coordinate and execute employee recognition efforts, including birthdays, milestones, and key life events through cards, gifts, and personalized outreach
  • Assist in planning and managing corporate events, team gatherings, and internal initiatives that strengthen morale and connection
  • Help extend the CEO’s presence across the organization through consistent, thoughtful touchpoints despite time constraints
  • Identify and execute opportunities to enhance employee engagement, recognition, and overall team experience
  • Integrated Executive \& Personal Support

  • Provide coordinated support across the CEO’s professional responsibilities and select personal priorities to enhance overall effectiveness
  • Assist with organization, scheduling, and task coordination across a multi\-entity portfolio, including related business interests and investments
  • Coordinate with external vendors, service providers, and partners across both business and personal initiatives
  • Maintain a high level of discretion and professionalism when handling sensitive or confidential matters
  • Ensure key priorities, commitments, and tasks are organized and progressing across all areas of responsibility
  • Operational \& Administrative Management

  • Manage travel arrangements, expense reporting, and logistics
  • Maintain organized systems for documents, contacts, and key information
  • Support preparation of presentations, reports, and internal materials
  • Assist with event planning, client meetings, and internal functions as needed
  • Typical Qualifications:

  • 3–7\+ years of experience in executive support, senior administrative support, or a similar role
  • Experience supporting senior leadership or executives preferred
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
  • Experience with scheduling, travel coordination, and project tracking tools
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred, but not required based on experience

  • Role Alignment \& Growth: This role provides direct exposure to executive leadership, strategic initiatives, and cross\-functional operations across GWT. This position is designed to evolve with the individual, with the potential to expand into broader operational or Chief of Staff responsibilities based on performance and organizational need.

    Working Conditions: The Executive Assistant to the Chairman \& CEO role is primarily based in a corporate office environment, with regular collaboration across the Executive Leadership Team, Support Operations, Water \& Energy Services, Sales, and other cross\-functional teams. The position requires frequent interaction with internal and external stakeholders, including clients, partners, and vendors.

    The role involves a dynamic and fast\-paced work environment, with priorities that may shift based on business needs, leadership initiatives, and CEO availability. A high level of responsiveness, organization, and adaptability is required to effectively support evolving priorities and maintain continuity across workstreams.

    The position may require occasional local and regional travel to support meetings, corporate events, leadership engagements, or strategic initiatives. Travel expectations will vary based on business needs but should be anticipated as part of effectively supporting the CEO and broader leadership team.

    This role may also require availability outside of standard business hours to support scheduling needs, time\-sensitive initiatives, or key communications. Such support may be provided remotely or on\-site, depending on the situation.

    Physical Requirements: The Executive Assistant to the Chairman \& CEO role is primarily office\-based but may require periodic movement throughout GWT facilities and attendance at external meetings or events.

    The position requires the ability to sit or stand for extended periods, use standard office equipment, and work on a computer and mobile devices for extended durations. Occasional lifting or carrying of materials, documents, or event\-related items up to approximately 15–20 pounds may be required.

    The role also requires the ability to communicate effectively in person, by phone, and via digital platforms, and to maintain a high level of attention to detail across a variety of tasks and responsibilities.
