Position Overview
We are seeking motivated and compassionate associates who are interested in developing their clinical skills while building a sustainable private practice caseload. This role is ideal for clinicians who value autonomy and flexibility while benefiting from the structure and guidance of an experienced supervisory team.
While IPS provides referrals when available, associates are also expected to actively participate in outreach and engagement to help maintain an active caseload. This position differs from community mental health settings — our goal is to support you in cultivating your own private practice foundation.
This position is especially well\-suited for therapists seeking flexible scheduling.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain a minimum of 20 weekly client sessions, with the expectation to build your caseload within 4 months.
- Complete documentation (assessments, treatment plans, progress notes) within 48 hours in our EHR system.
- Attend required clinical supervision (group, triad, or individual).
- Provide culturally responsive CBT and affirming care to clients.
- Integrate objective data (e.g., self\-report outcome measures) to inform case conceptualization and treatment planning.
- Option to train in immigration evaluations (VAWA, U\-Visa, Hardship, Asylum) when clinically appropriate.
- Participate in marketing and outreach efforts to build and sustain a caseload.
- Active registration with the Board of Behavioral Sciences (AMFT, ACSW, APCC) or the Board of Psychology (Psychological Assistant).
- At least 500 direct client hours and fewer than 1,500 total supervised hours preferred.
- Demonstrate ability to provide LGBTQIA\+\-affirming, CBT culturally informed care.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Self\-motivated, organized, and able to work independently.
- Availability for at least two evenings (\~last possible appointment by 8 pm) and/or one weekend day (\~available between 9 am to 2 pm).
- Bilingual (Spanish/English) preferred but not required.
- Must be willing to provide in\-person sessions at an IPS office location.
- W\-2 Employment Status with competitive hourly pay.
- Pay range: $36\.00 – $43\.00 per client hour, based on experience and caseload. Enhanced hourly rates are available to clinicians who maintain over 20 weekly clients.
- Clinical supervision is paid at the minimum wage rate.
- Administrative non\-clinical paid at the minimum wage rate.
