Position Summary

As a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner at QPHW, you will play a central role in delivering compassionate, patient\-centered psychiatric care within a collaborative and supportive clinical environment. You will have the opportunity to build meaningful therapeutic relationships while providing high\-quality psychiatric evaluations, diagnosis, treatment planning, and medication management.

What You’ll Do

  • Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and diagnostic assessments for children, adolescents, and adults
  • Develop individualized treatment plans utilizing evidence\-based psychiatric care
  • Provide medication management with ongoing monitoring for efficacy, tolerability, and patient safety
  • Deliver compassionate, trauma\-informed, and culturally responsive care
  • Collaborate closely with therapists, support staff, and supervising psychiatrists to ensure continuity of care
  • Empower patients through education, shared decision\-making, and whole\-person wellness strategies
  • Maintain timely, accurate, and clinically sound documentation in compliance with professional, ethical, and regulatory standards
  • Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the growth of the practice
  • Stay current with evolving psychiatric treatment modalities and best practices in mental health care
  • What We’re Looking For

  • Master’s or Doctoral degree in Psychiatric Nursing from an accredited program
  • Active and unrestricted California PMHNP license
  • PMHNP\-BC certification through ANCC
  • Active California DEA registration
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in an outpatient psychiatric or private practice setting preferred
  • Experience treating a broad range of psychiatric conditions across the lifespan preferred
  • Strong clinical judgment, professionalism, and ethical decision\-making skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a multidisciplinary team
  • Strong organizational and time\-management abilities
