### Description

POSITION DESCRIPTION

We are seeking a senior\-level Director of College Counseling to lead high\-level consultations with prospective families and drive enrollment into our programs. Reporting directly to the Founder, this role is responsible for converting qualified families into long\-term clients through strategic assessment, expert positioning, and executive\-level advising, while serving as the company’s ultimate authority on competitive positioning, institutional trends, and application strategy. The Director of College Counseling serves as the first senior authority families encounter — setting expectations, building trust, and guiding them toward the appropriate program and counselor. Additionally, this role will provide the strategic sign\-off and high\-level mentorship required to ensure our Senior Lead Counselors, Lead Counselors, and Specialists deliver a unified, world\-class methodology.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

### I. Business Development \& Strategic Oversight

* Brand Ambassadorship: Act as the premier face of GE College Prep, hosting high\-impact webinars that distill our methodology into a compelling case for our company’s authority.

* Strategic Consultations: Own the consultation\-to\-enrollment pipeline by leading bespoke discovery sessions with prospective families.

* Operational Auditing: Audit counselors’ work to ensure consistency, rigor, and positioning excellence, as well as appropriate deadline management.

* Counselor Oversight: Assist with training counseling staff, review and evaluate performance, provide feedback (both positive and corrective), and provide additional resources as needed.

### II. Client Management

* Elite Portfolio Management: Manage a personal portfolio of ambitious students, making multi\-year commitments to guide them through the entire admissions cycle with a focus on high\-impact extracurricular recommendations, narrative building, and essay writing.

* Executive Flexibility: This role requires regular afternoon, evening, and occasional weekend sessions to accommodate student availability across US time zones (particularly Pacific Time). To balance evening student\-facing hours, enjoy significant autonomy and flexibility during standard business hours for administrative tasks, research, and strategy development.

* Executive Oversight: Serve as an escalation point for families and staff, proactively resolving complex issues and assisting with case reassignment when necessary.
