Company Overview
Nativa Cannabis is a vertically integrated adult\-use cannabis enterprise in Western New York. The business currently incorporates a retail storefront in Niagara Falls, NY, and a cultivation and production facility in Cuba (Oil Spring), NY. Nativa’s retail location is actively seeking the addition of an Assistant Retail Manager to join our retail management team.
Position Summary
Reporting to the Retail Manager, the Assistant Retail Manager is responsible for supporting the retail sales department by providing staff oversite, proactive ordering, website updates and thorough inventory management. The team member we are looking for needs to be capable of a strong problem\-solving attitude, a strong desire for self\-improvement, attention to detail, strong organization, solid administrative/clerical and time management skills, and the desire to progress into a management position. The Assistant Retail Manager is also responsible for upholding the mission and values of the company and ensuring that the team displays excellence at all times.
Essential Functions
· Learns to analyze inventory trends and supervises inventory management, including ordering items, keeping stock, and leveraging company resources to avoid outs and overstock
· Partner with the Retail Manager to ensure accurate inventory records are maintained in compliance with the Seneca Nation Cannabis Regulatory Authority
· Offers feedback and coaching
· Greets customers and offers assistance with product selection and services
· Resolves customer complaints and helps respond to customers’ special needs
· Supervises operation of the store and team members, opening/closing/changing shifts, task delegation, and scheduling team members
· Supervises the control of the store money safe deposits, change orders, and oversees all aspects of bookkeeping including ledger, invoices, cash reports, and time records
· Maintains knowledge of all computer and technology systems and software. Ensures response to all systems problems by contacting information technology support and seeking solutions
· Complies with all company policies and procedures and maintains respectful relationships with coworkers.
· Alongside the General Manager and Retail Manager, create a sales culture through consistent staff training, goal setting, contests, and other methods
· Ensure all administrative processes involving personnel are handled on a timely basis (i.e., performance evaluations, salary reviews, time sheets, change of status forms, etc.)
· Performs additional duties as assigned by the General Manager and Retail Manager
Qualifications
Position Requirements
· Candidate must be at least twenty\-one years of age (21\+)
· Minimum of one (1\) year in a management role in a legal, state\-licensed cannabis operation (or similar industry) of 10\+ employees
· Experience working in highly inventory dependent environments required
· Proficiency with MS Office Applications required, including Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint
· Knowledge of retail POS systems and/or inventory management systems preferred
· Excellent presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills, and the ability to speak effectively before groups and respond to questions required.
· Ability to work evenings and occasional weekends required
· Must have integrity and a high level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential issues
· Exceptional ability to build relationships
· Solid problem\-solving, business acumen, influence, and negotiation skills
· Superior organizational, project management, time management, and multi\-tasking skills
· Superior communication skills including listening, verbal, written, and presentation skills
· Successful track record with being a team player as well as building, leading, and motivating teams
· Flexibility and creativity when finding solutions is a must, namely in the context of a start\-up environment
· Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle required
· Experience working with Native American communities preferred
· Knowledge in all areas of historical, traditional, cultural, language, and spiritual practices of the Seneca Nation of Indians preferred
· Legal cannabis industry knowledge required
Physical Requirements
· Extended time standing, walking, bending, and reaching
· Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. for a distance of 100 feet
· This position requires occasionally extended and repetitive use of arms, hands, and fingers to manipulate objects

· Seneca or Native preference applies, given to qualified applicants pursuant to the Seneca Nation of Indians’ Tribal Employment Rights Ordinance
