Description:

The Undergraduate College Intern position is for currently enrolled students who have attended at least one year of their a bachelors program. The Summer Internship Program offers a variety of internship positions across Emory departments for either 10 or 12 weeks depending on the department needs.

The HR \& Accounting Records Support Assistant is a temporary undergraduate position designed to support summer records management initiatives within Human Resources and Accounting. This role focuses on the secure scanning, indexing, and confidential destruction of employee files and other sensitive documents in compliance with institutional records retention and confidentiality standards.

In addition to administrative responsibilities, this position offers a structured academic enrichment opportunity. The student will complete a guided journal review related to Human Resources in academic medicine, with a particular focus on the underrepresented staff support pillar and its impact on workforce equity, retention, and organizational culture.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Under direct or general supervision, performs a variety of tasks requiring limited independent judgment.
  • May research, compile and prepare routine or ad\-hoc reports.
  • May research and maintain records, files and logs.
  • May initiate or maintain contact with customers, vendors or contractors and respond to, research and resolve inquiries of a routine nature.
  • May organize meetings or other venues and arrange for logistical needs such as set up, handouts, reports, speakers and clean up.
  • May assist in developing, implementing and managing programs or projects.
  • MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Currently enrolled as an undergraduate in a college or university offering a four year degree.
  • Completion of freshman year or higher and in good academic standing.
  • College transcripts required as part of interview process.

NOTE: Position tasks are required to be performed in\-person at an Emory University location; working remote is not an option. Emory reserves the right to change this status with notice to employee
