ACCOUNTING CLERK
POSITION SUMMARY
The Accounting Clerk position is responsible for performing and maintaining clerical accounting functions and supporting related administrative functions. A successful Accounting Clerk will ensure timely processing and recording of financial transactions, be organized and accountable in the performance of duties and maintenance of records, contribute to and adopt developed PLIB standards of process, and ensure smooth day\-to\-day business operations.
The position is full\-time, hourly, non\-exempt, with approximately 40 hours a week. This is an in\-person position. Hybrid schedules or incidental remote work may be approved on a case\-by\-case basis after the completion of training and a 90\-day probationary period. A background check with good results is required. Office hours are Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm. The hourly rate for this position is $22\-24/hr., DOE
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Perform accounts payable and/or receivable functions
- Receive and input physical and electronic payments
- Receive and input bills and expenses
- Review, approve, and route expenses, reimbursements, and bills
- Complete monthly statement reconciliations
- Other accounting duties as assigned
- Proficient knowledge of office software (e.g. Windows, MS Office 365, Adobe)
- Proficient knowledge of QuickBooks (Online experience preferred)
- Working knowledge of multiline phone systems
- Working knowledge of the postal system

Organize and maintain financial, customer, and business records
Follow up with customers and provide general customer support
Answer, route, and resolve phone calls and emails
Support implementation of PLIB policy and procedures
Accounting Software support for staff
Complete work in a timely manner, check in and communicate about work status and process
Other financial and administrative duties as assigned
