Job Summary:
We are a Gahanna accounting firm near I\-270 and I\-670 seeking an organized part\-time front desk office assistant to join our team Monday through Friday from 12:30 pm to 5:00 pm. Although the position is part time, our goal is to find someone seeking long\-term employment. If you’re someone who values both professionalism and a friendly office environment, you’ll feel right at home here. This role requires proficient clerical skills, attention to detail, the ability to manage multiple tasks in what at times can be somewhat fast\-paced near tax deadlines, and the ability to be a self\-starter during less hectic times. Exceptional customer service skills are a must as you’ll be the first point of contact for our clients, and your ability to make them feel valued and taken care of will set the tone for their entire experience. Duties include:
- Performing general clerical tasks such as filing, copying, and scanning documents, and maintaining office supplies.
- Providing friendly customer service by greeting visitors and answering inquiries.
- Handling incoming phone calls effectively and directing them to the appropriate personnel.
- Utilizing Microsoft Office products such as Outlook and Word
- Using QuickBooks for administrative functions such as typing customer invoices and data entry of staff time tracking by customer.
- General assistance of our 7 accountants.
- Coordinating with our morning part\-time office assistant.
- Maintaining confidentiality of sensitive information in accordance with company policies.
- Occasional light cleaning of the office.
- Prior experience in office clerical or administrative roles is preferred.
- General computer literacy and typing skills such as use of Microsoft Word and Outlook is a must.
- Familiarity with QuickBooks and Ultratax software are preferred but not required.
- The ability to prioritize tasks effectively along with good organizational skills.
- Friendly customer service skills and a professional demeanor.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a dynamic environment.
