Medical Assistant\-Varied Position
Lifecare of West Michigan is seeking a Medical Assistant that is looking for a full\-time position and thrives on variety. We are looking for an individual that has experience with geriatric patient care, experience with triage, and the ability to deliver great customer service both in person and over the telephone. This varied position requires time spent in the office setting as well as time on the road conducting home visits to install patient remote monitoring equipment in the Mid\-West Michigan area.
Position Objective:
Medical Assistants perform a variety of administrative and clinical tasks. These tasks include monitoring of chronic conditions, supporting clinicians, and patient education. They are an essential part of the advanced care team and facilitate meeting the goals of the RPM Program. They maintain knowledge of care management, behavioral health, and chronic disease self\-management resources available to patients and facilitate patients’ adoption of these services. They play an integral role in promoting access to appropriate care, including transitional care services for vulnerable patients recently discharged from the hospital or ED.
Position Requirements:
- Completion of an accredited medical assisting program
- Proven work experience as a medical assistant
- Excellent time management skills and ability to multi\-task and prioritize work
- Excellent customer service skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational and planning skills
- Proficiency in MS Office and EMR
- Report in\-person (this is not a work from home position)
- References
- Experience with acute issues pertaining to chronic conditions
- Willing to cover large territory. On the road travel required Muskegon, Oceana, Mason, Manistee, Newaygo, and Lake counties as well.

Job Types: Full\-time – Monday through Friday – 8am\-4pm
Compensation: $19\.00 \- $20\.00 per hour is based on experience and is negotiable
