INSTRUCTIONAL ASSISTANT II
JOB SUMMARY:
Under the general supervision of a teacher and/or administrator provides supported educational services in classrooms, resource centers, or other program related areas. Duties and responsibilities depend on class/program assignments and may include participating in physical management.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Supervise and assist students either individually or in small groups in regular and/or special education classes and other school related activities as assigned.
- May work on a more in\-depth basis with individual students and/or the supervising teacher to develop individual lesson plans and strategies for maximizing learning experiences for individual students in a specialized field of education.
- May administer informational assessment instruments, score objective tests and papers and keep appropriate records for teachers.
- Confer, as needed, with teachers, resource staff and other school personnel concerning programs and materials to meet student needs.
- Alerts teacher to any special problems or information concerning students in assigned program.
- Participate in parent conferences when invited by the supervising teacher.
- Participate in meetings to share information about program to which assigned when invited by supervising teacher.
- Manages student behavior across setting using consistent and positive intervention strategies.
- Participates with teachers and specialists to assist with developing and evaluating student educational goals and objectives.
- Operates a variety of office equipment as needed, including a computer and copier.
- Performs clerical support duties as required.
- Able to access, input, retrieve information from a computer and key 30 wpm.
- Able to learn assigned tasks readily, with minimal supervision, and follow established routines and procedures.

- May lead the work activities of school secretaries, school assistants, student workers, and volunteers.
- May plan and schedule work operations and employee assignments.
- May perform the same work as others but provides assistance and direction as needed.
- Fill a position designated for School Secretarial.
- Performs all duties of a Secretary, although assigned tasks will be more complex, requiring greater knowledge and a higher degree of independent judgment.
- In the absence of the supervisor, may act with authority in a given area of operation.
- Track, maintain and report on school budget including processing and purchasing supply and expense reimbursement requests in compliance with district policy and procedure; maintain inventory of supplies; track account balances; and provide periodic and on\-demand financial reports to principal.
- May serve as or oversee substitute coordinator for the building contacting substitutes for all teachers and classified staff as required. Reconcile Substitute jobs and hours prior to end of each month. Ensure that funding account codes for specially funded substitute jobs are appropriately input into substitute system.
- Coordinate with Fiscal Services on building usage and other outside invoicing.
- Receive, track and deposit all funds received on a weekly basis.
- Assist with collection of fees and billing.
- May oversee or assist in compiling and reviewing time sheets/extra hours for licensed and classified staff. Review and update time sheets for classified employees as needed, reconcile and process approvals and reports to Human Resources and Payroll.
- Coordinate with Benefits Specialist on team member and student injuries, liability claims and extended leaves.
- In some schools, will maintain student body financial records.
- Perform general office duties including answering multi\-line phones, greeting the public, typing, filing, sorting and handling incoming and outgoing mail.
- Create and coordinate schedules for special projects including scheduling meetings, making room arrangements, field trip schedules, school newsletters etc.
- Professionally represent the school and the District in interactions with parents, community, staff, and students.
- Format and complete special projects as assigned by principal.
- Appropriately maintain and secure confidential records and inquiries.
- Maintain confidentiality.
- Perform complex word processing, spreadsheet and data entry tasks. Able to use the assigned elements of the district's computer network system.
- Perform routine bookkeeping functions.

- Order, inventory and store salad bar and cafeteria supplies.

CAFETERIA ATTENDANT
JOB SUMMARY:
Under the direction of the Nutrition Services Cafeteria Lead, The NS Cafeteria Attendant assists in the efficient operation of the National School Breakfast \& National School Lunch Program at their assigned school site. In addition, NS Cafeteria Attendant may help to direct several student workers; and performs additional food preparation, serving, and cleaning duties.
