Duties

  • Process payroll using systems such as Workday, ADP, Paychex, or UltiPro, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
  • Perform data entry of employee hours, wages, benefits, and deductions into payroll and accounting software like QuickBooks or Ceridian
  • Reconcile payroll accounts through general ledger accounting and account reconciliation procedures
  • Manage benefits administration related to payroll, including deductions for health insurance, retirement plans, and other employee benefits
  • Prepare journal entries for payroll transactions and ensure proper debit and credit allocations in the financial system
  • Maintain compliance with tax regulations by processing tax payments and preparing relevant reports
  • Collaborate with human resources to verify employee data accuracy and update records as needed
  • Assist with governmental reporting requirements related to payroll taxes and employment law compliance
  • Support accounts payable and receivable processes related to payroll expenses and reimbursements
  • Conduct analysis of payroll data to identify discrepancies or errors for prompt resolution
  • Qualifications

  • Proven experience with payroll management systems such as Workday, ADP, Paychex, Kronos, or UltiPro
  • Strong knowledge of accounting software including QuickBooks and other financial tools
  • Familiarity with corporate accounting principles, general ledger reconciliation, double entry bookkeeping, and technical accounting practices
  • Understanding of human resources processes related to benefits administration and HRIS systems
  • Experience handling tax compliance, governmental reporting, and non\-profit or governmental accounting preferred
  • Excellent analysis skills with attention to detail in data entry and account reconciliation tasks
  • Ability to perform 10\-key typing efficiently while maintaining accuracy
  • Knowledge of debits \& credits, journal entries, accounts payable/receivable processes, and bookkeeping fundamentals
