Portland or Corvallis -- Clinical Director for Low-Acuity Outpatient Mental Health

Conifer Wellness
Corvallis, OR, US
Posted Apr 18, 2026

Conifer Wellness is an independently owned outpatient mental health clinic, created by a band of clinicians who recognize healthcare providers are people too. We believe in taking care of our employees as well as our patients. We are committed to remaining an independent and close\-knit organization so we can retain autonomy over our clinical and company policies. The admin and CEO are easy to reach; you will not work for The Faceless Boss here!

Conifer is currently seeking a clinical director to jointly develop, facilitate, and guide our growing program. We are currently working on an application for our Certificate of Approval (CoA), so any experience with policy writing is of particular interest. We’re committed to working together, not only to achieve the highest standards of care and affect positive community change, but also to support each other as a cohesive team. Conifer’s admins communicate informally throughout the day to solve problems, collaborate, and brainstorm. We don’t see anything wrong with saying “I don’t know…but I’ll find out.”

We’re a group of hard\-working, adaptable, supportive, and collaborative individuals with a deep respect for learning. We prioritize high\-quality training for developing providers, both in their clinical knowledge, and in supporting their transition from students to professionals. Currently, our clinical staff is comprised of four licensed master’s level clinicians and three supervised associates, located in two clinics (Corvallis and Portland), and we are recruiting to hire both more PC\-As and CSW\-As. We have also served as a practicum site for Pacific University in the recent past, but this venture has been put on hold so we can focus on our associates for the time being.

As a small\-but\-growing establishment, we are looking for a dependable individual with strong time management and organizational skills; someone with the curiosity to solve problems and the ability to communicate their ideas; someone who takes pride in their independence and work ethic who also values work/life balance.

\-\-Performng clinician reviews and providing clear, direct, and supportive feedback

\-\-Conducting documentation quality assurance reviews

\-\-Participating in job interviews along with admin staff

\-\-Developing and implementing community outreach, as feasible

Applicants MUST have the following:

\-\-An unencumbered clinical license in the state of Oregon (LCSW, PhD, or PsyD) with at least four years of independently licensed clinical experience

\-\-At least two years of managerial experience (may be concurrent with clinical experience mentioned above)

\-\-Clinical supervisor certification from your licensing board

Preferred applicants will have:

\-\-Experience with writing policies and/or grants

\-\-Familiarity with Microsoft 365 software such as SharePoint, OneDrive, Outlook, etc.
