Provide management and coordination of administrative and academic operations\-related functions within the Office of the Provost by performing the following duties. This position qualifies to work remotely, subject to the CBU Telecommuting Policy.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
include the following. Other duties may be assigned
1\. Represents the Office of the Provost in business and academic operations across the institution.
2\. Provides virtual training and support of academic operations processes for academic secretaries, directors of academic operations, faculty, and administrators within Academic Affairs.
3\. Develops instructional content, builds and maintains the Academic Operations tab on InsideCBU and Lancer Link systems.
4\. Develops and maintains electronic processes in support of operations within the Division of Academic Affairs
5\. Responsible for the recruitment for hire, supervision, management, and training of the Coordinator for Academic Operations
6\. Prepares and reviews quarterly budget reports; verifies appropriate salary allocations, and submits budget requests where needed.
7\. Manages distribution of faculty development awards, CBU internal grants, and other special projects; communicates with awardees to ensure compliance with university policies.
8\. Oversees processes and procedures and makes recommendations to improve the efficiency of the academic units within the Academic Affairs division.
9\. Tracks office faculty office moves and assignments.
10\. Assists in evaluating business processes and operational and/or financial effectiveness.
11\. Prepares faculty contracts and approves salary initiation memos for full\-time faculty, as well as adjunct faculty and teaching assistants’ compensation requests.
12\. Interprets, implements, and ensures compliance with university academic and administrative policies and procedures within an operating unit. Recommends new internal policies, guidelines and procedures.
13\. Manages the Advanced Study Tuition Reimbursement Program (ASTR) and generates related reports.
14\. Assists with requisitions, transfer requests, and other budgetary processes.
15\. Assists Administrative Faculty as needed for special projects.
16\. Composes and prepares confidential correspondence, reports, and other complex documents.
17\. Assists with specific projects related to the long\-term goals of the university, such as strategic planning, fiscal responsibility, and the like.
Supervisory Responsibilities
Directly supervises Coordinator for Academic Operations. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

PHYSICALDEMANDS: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; sit; and requires sufficient hand, arm, and finger dexterity to operate computer keyboard or other office equipment. Requires visual acuity to read words and numbers and speaking and hearing ability sufficient to communicate in person or over the phone. WORKENVIRONMENT: The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Work normally performed in a typical interior/office work environment, with minimal exposure to health or safety hazards.
Education and/or Experience
Bachelor’s degree from four\-year college or university; and one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
MATHEMATICALSKILLS: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret graphs.
