Job Overview

The Relationship Banker is responsible for performing duties and support related to branch operational activities and financial services and consumer loans; processes all new account transactions; assisting customers, both Retail and Commercial, in their selection of various accounts and financial services. Cross\-selling the Bank’s products and services; opening, maintaining/servicing existing accounts, and processing the closing of all account types; performing branch clerical duties; taking consumer loan applications and working with underwriting to determine approval or denial. You must be able to promote business for the Bank, by maintaining good customer relations and referring customers to appropriate staff or departments for new services.

Responsibilities

  • Have knowledge of all Retail and Commercial bank products/cross selling the Bank’s products and services
  • Assists customers in their selection of accounts, products and financial services.
  • Establish proper identification and follow all procedures associated with opening a new account.
  • Provide effective and exceptional customer service (in person or by phone) and direct them to the proper referral partner. The ability to analyze and resolve problems within given authority.
  • Provide Teller support when necessary.
  • ·Able to determine and prepare the correct documentation for each customer situation. Including but limited to the following:
  • Open, maintain, and service all types of retail accounts,
  • Take address changes,
  • Take orders for checks, deposit slips, and deposit stamps,
  • Understand and issue Official Checks within the banks policies and guidelines,
  • Take stop payments,
  • Perform safe deposit box duties as needed,
  • Gather data, perform research, and process various tasks as needed and assigned by your supervisor,
  • IRA customer service;
  • Process all the necessary paper work associated with IRA transactions with the guidance of the bank’s IRA specialist.
  • Ability to understand the bank’s Electronic Banking Services and perform all duties associated with them.

  • Qualifications

    · Basic knowledge of bank operations or willingness to acquire such knowledge

    · Knowledge of Bank Regulatory requirements

    · Ability to work with general supervision

    · Excellent written/verbal communication skills as well as team orientation skills

    · Familiarity with PC based programs

    · Looks for opportunity to sell to current customers and prospects

    · Promotes the bank internally and externally

    · Encouraged to have involvement in community organizations/activities/clubs.

    · Requires a high level of dedication; must be willing to work flexible hours

    · Ability to work in a fast pace work environment under tight time constraints

    · Ability to adapt to change

    Pay: $19\.50 \- $23\.50 per hour
