General Responsibilities:
GEOMAT is looking for a dispatcher/administration assistant to join our growing office in Farmington, NM. The assistant performs dispatching, administrative, and general duties for Materials Department at the discretion of the Office Manager. This position coordinates job assignments and schedules Field Engineering Technicians to ensure efficient service and timely project support. They will answer phones and respond to general inquiries. In addition, they will maintain files and department office supplies. The Dispatcher manages incoming client requests, aligns technician schedules using dispatch software, and assists with sample logistics, equipment tracking, and scheduling documentation. They produce a variety of field and laboratory reports using the proprietary software. In addition, they will maintain files and department office supplies. They may be assigned to help other areas of the company as required.
Schedule: Monday\- Friday 7:00am\- 4:00pm
Essential Roles and Responsibilities:
Under direct supervision Department Manager, provides general administrative support to a department of a basic and routine nature.
- Answers phone inquiries and aids in scheduling as directed. Addresses calls as necessary and forwards messages.
- Receives and responds to routine correspondence following established procedures.
- Type correspondence, documents and spreadsheets. May input data into databases.
- Compiles and analyzes basic information for inclusion in reports, prepares charts, graphs or tables as necessary.
- Proofreads documents for spelling, grammar, and typographical errors.
- Maintains files of correspondence, reports, records and contracts.
- Makes copies and files various documents.
- Responsible for meeting quality standards on all projects.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Must be knowledgeable and fluent in computers and basic programs such as Microsoft Excel/Word.
- Valid driver’s license with acceptable violation history.
