We are seeking a Staff Assistant for the Purchasing Department. Under the supervision of the Director of Purchasing, this position will perform a wide range of administrative and record‑keeping tasks related to the procurement of goods and services.
This is an hourly, part\-time position.
Example of Duties:
- Act as a liaison between the Director of Purchasing and other College departments.
- Perform troubleshooting, research, and resolve both internal and external inquiries.
- Maintain and act as administrator for various online procurement platforms.
- Perform data analysis, data processing, as well as other clerical and routine duties.
- Prepare journal entries and external correspondence.
- Maintains records and files, to include electronic databases.
- Assist in ensuring that purchases are in compliance with applicable statues, regulations and policies.
- Develop and maintain effective business relationships with internal clients.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
- Associates or higher degree preferred.
- One to two (1\-2\) years of related experience preferred.
- Excellent math and communication skills.
- Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, and ERP systems.
- Able to work well with staff and students in a cooperative and professional manner.
Qualifications:
The completion of a background check will be required for the selected candidate.
Compensation: Compensation is determined by a variety of criteria, including but not limited to, previous relevant experience, education level, and certifications. The hourly pay range for this position is $17\-$18\.50\.
