About the role

The internship will provide a selectee to support the Balfour Beatty Investments Health \& Safety and Balfour Beatty Military Housing Renovations Division, facilitating the development of entry level competencies in managing residential renovations and construction projects, with a strong emphasis placed on occupational health \& safety. This is a remote internship.

  • Who we're looking for

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Enrolled in an internship applicable academic program at an accredited university.
  • Ability to complete online training programs assigned at the beginning of the internship.
  • Ability to travel 35 – 60% of the time during internship.
  • Ability to work on a construction site with physical demands.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision in a remote capacity.
  • Capability to work in a fast\-paced environment.
  • Detail oriented and organized.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project, Microsoft Teams, and general computer use
  • * Possession of a valid state issues driver’s license and safe driving record are required

    Recommended Training

  • First Aid/ CPROSHA 1926 Construction Industry Standards 10hr OSHA 1910 General Industry Standards 10hr Procore Certification(s)

Typical Physical Demands: Regularly use hands to manipulate tools, controls, phones, and computer keyboard. Frequently stand, reach with hands and arms, climb, balance, and stoop. Sit and stand to do clerical work. Regularly lift and move office supplies up to 20 lbs.

Work is performed in an office. Employee frequently interacts directly with community management, facilities management, residents and other staff members during the workday.

Pay Rate: $20\.00 hr.

This is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. An employee's pay position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, any collective bargaining agreements, and business or organizational needs.
