Director of Go to Market for Education

Microsoft
Mountain View, CA, US
Posted Apr 9, 2026

Overview

Education is one of the most consequential markets for AI — a sector where the right go to market strategy can accelerate access, close equity gaps, and reshape how students learn and thrive. As Director of Go to Market for Education, you will define how Microsoft AI reaches those students and lifelong learners at scale. This is a role for a leader who can operate at the intersection of distribution strategy, ecosystem design, field excellence, and growth — someone who can turn product potential into real world adoption, usage, and impact.

You will own the downstream truth of our Education business: the segmentation, the channel strategy, the competitive plays, the pricing and packaging guidance, and the activation motions that ensure Microsoft AI becomes a platform learners want to adopt— especially in a market where competitive alternatives are rapidly gaining traction. You will partner deeply with Product Marketing Manager (PMM), Creative, Campus Field, and Product to ensure our launches land with precision, our motions scale globally, and our value is understood by every student and institution we serve. And you will architect the programs, partnerships, and demand engines that turn awareness into durable, retained usage. This is a role for a builder, an orchestrator, and a strategist — someone who can bring coherence to a complex global go\-to\-market (GTM) ecosystem and elevate Microsoft AI as the trusted partner for the future of learning.

This role plays a critical part in shaping how the next generation discovers, learns, and builds with AI—translating Microsoft’s innovation into meaningful, trusted adoption across education at global scale.

Microsoft AI is redefining how the world learns — how students build skills, how institutions operate, and how people access opportunity across a lifetime. Microsoft AI has the scale, the ecosystem, and the responsibility to lead this transformation with integrity and ambition.

Together, we contribute to Microsoft’s mission is to empower every person and every organization on the planet to achieve more. As employees we come together with a growth mindset, innovate to empower others, and collaborate to realize our shared goals. Each day we build on our values of respect, integrity, and accountability to create a culture of inclusion where everyone can thrive at work and beyond.

In alignment with our Microsoft values, we are committed to cultivating an inclusive work environment for all employees to positively impact our culture every day.
