Position Overview
The Weston Public Schools is seeking an Executive Assistant to support the Office of the Superintendent and the Teaching and Learning. This is a full\-year position reporting to the Superintendent of Schools. About the Weston Public Schools
The Weston Public Schools enrolls approximately 2,000 students in pre\-kindergarten through grade 12\. The school district includes a high school for grades 9\-12, a middle school for grades 6\-8, an upper elementary school for grades 4\-5, and two lower elementary schools for pre\-kindergarten through grade 3\. Since 1967, Weston has participated in METCO (Metropolitan Council for Educational Opportunity) \- a voluntary school integration program that places Boston residents in suburban schools. The Weston METCO program enrolls approximately 150 students (K\-12\).
Key Responsibilities
- Embrace the diversity of the Weston Public Schools by fostering an environment of respect and inclusion
- Provide ongoing secretarial support to the Office of the Superintendent and Office of Teaching and Learning
- Answer telephones and greet visitors
- Prepares and distributes reports, correspondence, and forms, frequently of a confidential nature
- Partners with the PTO Communications Chairs to publish Westword, the weekly newsletter jointly issued by the Superintendents Office and PTO
- Update Superintendent/Assistant Superintendent and related school webpages as necessary.
- Plan and coordinate logistics for district events, retreats, workshops, travel accommodations, and other special events for the Superintendent/Assistant Superintendent.
- Maintain the Assistant Superintendents and Superintendents calendar; schedule and coordinate meetings; and ensure that all obligations are met.
- Hold administrative assistant meetings to coordinate initiatives and support consistency across schools as needed.
- Works closely with the Project Manager/Assistant Superintendents to ensure the preparation of materials for operations, curriculum program reviews, Program of Studies, state/federal grant applications, faculty summer workshops, and district\-wide faculty professional development days.
- Works closely with the Project Manager/Assistant Superintendents to effectively manage the online Professional Development website (Frontlines Professional Growth Management) for facilitating faculty requests to attend conferences, take graduate credit courses, and sign up for summer workshops. Maintain the user database and provide website support to users.
- Works closely with the Project Manager/Assistant Superintendents to effectively manage the online Educator Evaluation website (Frontlines Professional Growth Management) for reporting educator evaluation data to the Department of Elementary \& Secondary Education. Update evaluation rubrics as necessary. Maintain the user database and provide website support to users.
- Facilitate the Weston Education Enrichment Fund Committee (WEEFC) grant application process from submittal to notification of award. Post meetings and agendas for WEEFC meetings in accordance with the states Open Meeting Law. Update the WEEFC grant application yearly.
- Process Home Schooling requests and correspond with parents about requirements and approval status.
- Communicate details with new teachers and mentors about the New Teacher Orientation/Mentor Program.
- Notify faculty of professional development opportunities through IDEAS, Primary Source, and Teachers as Scholars, and register accordingly.
- Generate purchase orders, vouchers, and CPA forms.
- Perform other duties as directed by the Superintendent or their designee
- Minimum of a High School Diploma; Bachelors degree in Business/ Education or a related field preferred; five years of office experience; demonstrated interest in working with all stakeholders in a school environment
- Results\-driven, with excellent organizational skills
- Outstanding customer service and interpersonal skills
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office, Google Suite, Adobe Acrobat, and WordPress
- Expertise in spreadsheets and database applications
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to appropriately maintain confidentiality ions

Compensation and Benefits
The Executive Assistant is a 12\-month salaried position, and the salary range is $75,000 \- $80,000 per year. Additionally, the Weston Public Schools offers a comprehensive benefits package, including subsidized health insurance and Middlesex County Retirement System participation.
