Lewis Central Community School District is seeking a full\-time, full\-year District Executive Administrative Assistant for the 2026–27 school year.
The position is expected to begin no later than mid\-late June, with a preferred start date of June 1st, 2026 to allow for training and preparation for the fiscal year.

Summary
Provides high\-level administrative and operational support to the Superintendent and District leadership, requiring strong organizational skills, discretion, and independent judgment. Manages a wide range of district\-level functions including board operations, student enrollment processes, payroll and HR support, and internal communications. Serves as a central point of coordination for staff, families, and administrators while maintaining accurate records, supporting compliance processes, and ensuring efficient day\-to\-day operations across the ERC and the district.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Reports to work as scheduled on a regular and reliable basis.
- Serves as the first point of contact for the district office by greeting visitors and answering phone calls in a professional, courteous, and efficient manner; communicates effectively in routine, sensitive, and confidential situations.
- Provides comprehensive administrative support to the Superintendent and district leadership by managing and coordinating district calendars, scheduling meetings, and overseeing all meeting logistics, including preparation of materials and room setup for internal and external engagements.
- Performs clerical and administrative tasks including drafting correspondence, preparing reports, managing mail, filing, and maintaining both electronic and paper records.
- Prepares Board of Education materials, including agenda packets, supporting documentation, publications, and updates to the board website.
- Coordinates and manages designated student enrollment processes, including open enrollment and homeschool applications; maintains accurate student rosters for designated groups; supports certified enrollment reporting; and manages open enrollment billing.
- Arranges and tracks travel logistics for district staff, including scheduling, documentation, reimbursement coordination and expense tracking.
- Utilizes district systems and software, including word processing and spreadsheet software, student information systems (SIS), accounting, and HR platforms, to enter, update, and maintain accurate data.
- Supports payroll processing by assisting with data entry, reconciling substitute assignments, and reviewing staff timesheets for accuracy and completeness.
- Assists with Human Resources functions, including but not limited to, maintaining employee records, preparing contracts and agreements, and supporting onboarding and documentation processes.
- Maintains confidentiality of sensitive information in accordance with district policies and legal requirements.
- Provides district\-wide support during emergency situations or high\-need periods as required.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required.
- Associate degree or equivalent coursework from a two\-year college or technical school preferred; coursework in business, office administration, human resources, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of three years of progressively responsible administrative or executive support experience; experience in an educational, governmental, or public\-sector setting preferred.
Education and/or Experience
A combination of relevant education and experience may be considered.

Hours/Schedule: This position is a full\-time full\-year position with hours between approximately 7:00am and 4:30pm, Monday through Friday. Rate of pay: The current base rate for this position is $17\.00 per hour. Depending on previous work experience or any relatable education or certifications you may hold, this rate could increase by $1\.00 to $2\.00 more per hour. Final determination of applicants individual starting pay rate will be determined by the Business Office/HR.
Benefits: This position is eligible for full benefits including health, dental, and some supplemental products. All staff are automatically enrolled from day one, in the state sponsored retirement program, IPERS. The District contributes 9\.44% of staff's wages. IPERS requires that staff contributes 6\.29% of wages.
Paid Leaves/Holidays: The District offers paid vacation, paid personal and paid sick leave along with 8 paid holidays; Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day and the day after, Christmas Day, New Year’s Day, Memorial Day and 4th of July.
