WHO YOU ARE
Perform Supplier Quality Engineering duties in support of the Rotary and Mission Systems (RMS) supplier quality organization on mechanical/electro\-mechanical subcontract and commodity procurements. Requires close coordination with Sourcing, Program Quality, Engineering and Program Office functions.
Reviews and identifies program contractual and product drawing requirements and applies the applicable quality flow\-down requirements to part masters and purchase orders.
Makes recommendations on supplier selection based on cost, inspection of facilities, risk assessments, and historical performance.
Travel to suppliers is required; travel frequency will vary based on program requirements and supplier performance. Travel is primarily domestic, but can be international on occasion.
Responsible for basic quality services including:
- supplier evaluation
- verification of special process sources
- part/product acceptance inspection planning
- supplier manufacturing process and quality
- defect root cause analysis and corrective action
- supplier oversight, including development and
- fostering positive working relationships with
- Bachelors’ degree or equivalent from an accredited college in Engineering or related technical discipline
- Technical experience with mechanical and/or electrical products, including manufacturing processes, interpretation of technical drawings and Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD\&T), and military and industry specifications
- Experience with Supplier Quality and/or Quality Engineering principles, including nonconformance dispositions, failure analysis, and driving systemic root cause and corrective action utilizing quantitative and qualitative analytical methods
- Experience with developing and maintaining positive supplier relationships, as well as internal and external customers
- Knowledgeable in surveillance of AS9100 / ISO9001 Quality Management Systems and experience with AS9102 first article inspections or APQP
- Ability to obtain and maintain a US DoD security clearance
- Demonstrated ability to make decisions and set own priorities in a dynamic business environment; self\-starter with effective time management skills and ability to work with high level of autonomy
- Experience supporting supplier selection, contract reviews, readiness reviews and performing risk analyses
- Familiarity with data review and analysis to identify and monitor trends
- Experience and familiarity with machining and manufacturing practices
- Familiarity with both destructive and non\-destructive inspection techniques
- Lean / Six Sigma / Green Belt / Black Belt experience or CQE, CSQP or CMQ/OE certification
- Experience working in P2P, SAP, Solumina, EPDM and Tableau
- Good communication skills, both oral and written
- Ability to train and mentor peers and teammates
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)

Ability to Work Remotely:
Part\-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules:
Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position:
4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
