BILLING COORDINATOR / ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT
LOCATION: West Chester, PA

North Penn Neuropsychological Services is seeking a full\-time Billing Coordinator / Administrative Assistant to start in May/June 2026\.
This is a full\-time, salaried position with benefits (health, vision, dental, life, AD\&D, ST/LT disability), as well as 401k with employer match. The position offers generous paid time off and one day per week will be designated as work\-from\-home.

*JOB DESCRIPTION:*
\\*MAIN RESPONSIBILITY: The main role of this position is to coordinate internal billing activities, including:*
\- Checking patient Eligibility and Benefits Coverage: Includes checking payer portals and calling insurance companies for information not available on portals
\- Contacting patients to explain their insurance coverage and to answer questions regarding billing
\- Completing weekly superbills
\- Updating patient charts with billing information

*OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES:*
\- Reception activities (greeting and checking in patients, collecting payments and intake paperwork, etc.)
\- Other office/admin activities, as needed (duties will be shared with another admin): obtaining patient records, requesting referrals, making copies, scanning, filing/maintaining patient records, faxing, returning calls, mailings, data entry, etc.
\- Patient scheduling, only as needed (sharing coverage with other admin when scheduler is on vacation)

\QUALIFICATIONS\
*
*1\- Knowledge of how insurance coverage works regarding deductibles, co\-pays, co\-insurance, etc. and the ability to discuss those details effectively with patients and insurance companies*
*2\- At least 3 years of experience doing similar work in a medical practice, hospital/facility, or health insurance company*
*3\- Strong computer skills, especially MS Word and Excel (experience with payer portals is a plus)*
*4\- Excellent phone etiquette*
a. Ability to professionally interact with doctors’ offices, hospitals, and facilities
b. Ability to communicate with patients showing empathy, tolerance and respect
*5\- Strong administrative assistance skills (attention to detail, multitasking, organizational skills)*
*6\- Confidentiality is a must; Must adhere to all HIPAA requirements and practice policies regarding patient confidentiality*
*7\- Must be legal to work in the US and must be a US resident*
*8\- Must be willing to pass a criminal background check and child abuse clearances*
*9\- Must speak fluent English.*

*STARTING SALARY:*
\- Position starts at $50,000, plus benefits, paid time off, and bonus opportunities
