- Maintain the physical office space by tidying and stocking shared spaces, requesting service for the office space and equipment, checking the mail, occasionally opening and closing the office, and managing the bulletin board.
- Staff the front desk, answer the main phoneline, greet visitors, and answer questions.
- Assist staff and faculty affiliates who need help with the office space or equipment.
- Support IPSR events by creating and preparing event materials, managing contact lists, and assisting with event set\-up and break\-down.
- Maintain electronic awards records by reviewing and filing summary documents, updating databases, and flagging discrepancies.
- Support the development team by reviewing and formatting proposal documents for consistency.
- Assist staff with procurement by researching purchasing and travel options.
- Contribute to preparation of the Kansas Statistical Abstract by entering and editing detailed data tables, creating data visualizations, and maintaining electronic and physical filing systems.
- Support IPSR research projects by researching, entering, and editing data, testing surveys, creating visualizations, and formatting reports.

The Institute for Policy \& Social Research seeks a Student Administrative Assistant to support its work. The IPSR Student Administrative Assistant will support office maintenance and event coordination and assist staff members with data entry, data and file management, and other research project tasks. The person in this role will report to the Administrative Associate Sr.
The Institute for Policy \& Social Research is a faculty\-driven research center at KU supporting social scientists who focus on social problems and policy\-relevant questions. IPSR fosters independent researchers and collaborative teams within our network of faculty affiliates and seven interdisciplinary research centers.

Position Requirements
During the semester term of the appointment, the student hourly must be enrolled in no fewer than 6 credit hours. For summer periods the student hourly must: (1\) have been enrolled in no less than 6 hours in the past spring semester or (2\) be pre\-enrolled in the upcoming fall semester in no less than 6 hours or (3\) be enrolled in summer session or (4\) be admitted to study in the upcoming fall semester. Student Hourlies may be undergraduate or graduate students. (Exceptions granted for GRA/GTA/GA appointments DO NOT apply to Student Hourly appointments).
Employment Conditions
(1\) Student employees are not eligible for remote work arrangements unless an exception is approved by the unit leadership and HR.
(2\) This is an hourly/non\-exempt position. A student employee cannot hold an hourly/non\-exempt position and a salaried/exempt graduate or undergraduate position (GRA/GTA/GA/RUA/RGA) concurrently.
(3\) The time commitment for this role is 12 hours per week. This position is 100% on site in Blake Hall on The University of Kansas Lawrence campus.
