Safe Harbor Estate Law seeks a Medicaid Coordinator to work on Medicaid Applications and Asset Protection as an integral part of our amazing team. Our ideal candidate is a paralegal or legal assistant with experience in Medicaid Applications and Asset Protection. Priority will also be given to individuals with a background as a county financial worker, a social worker at a nursing home, or a billing specialist at an assisted living facility. We are willing to train the right candidate and are looking to hire a candidate who appreciates working in a collaborative, friendly, supportive environment.
We have developed solid systems and procedures and will provide training, but this is not a position for beginners. The ability to relate to clients, county and court personnel, and team members is critical.

Compensation:
$22 \- $26 hourly
Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain relationships with clients and external parties via phone, email, and in\-person interactions
- Maintain and update case management, client relationship management, document management, and other critical systems
- Monitor, retrieve, and distribute emails and voicemails; ensure all communications are properly documented in firm records (electronic and/or physical)
- Serve as the primary administrative liaison with courts and agencies for scheduling, filings, hearings, and related matters
- Prepare and finalize legal correspondence and documents at the direction of attorneys for delivery to courts, clients, and counsel
- Ensure attorneys are fully prepared for meetings and court appearances by organizing and providing all necessary materials
- Review verification request responses from Minnesota counties for accuracy and completeness
- Coordinate with county assessors to track and confirm the status of Medical Assistance applications
- Generate and manage Medical Assistance renewal task lists
- Accurately enter timekeeping and billing data
- Open, organize, and maintain client and firm files; ensure proper closure and archiving at case conclusion
- Scan, upload, and organize all client\-provided documentation; maintain both electronic and physical files as needed
- Prepare materials for client review meetings, including drafting, printing, and scanning documents
- Lead client signing meetings, including document preparation, facilitation, client support, and post\-meeting processing and recordkeeping
- Manage outgoing mail, including original deeds, financial documents, affidavits, and other assigned materials
- Update internal procedures and templates as needed; assist with onboarding and training of new team members
- You have experience with Asset Protection, Medicaid Applications, or prior Legal Assistant experience
- You can read financial statements and are comfortable working with numbers
- You are self\-motivated, with a growth mindset
