Represent the office of the Chief Communications Officer and be responsible for the project management of various special assignments and initiatives to include:

  • Partner with the Chief Communications Officer, CPAO Chief of Staff, Communications Director of Operations, and Communications leadership team to define, prioritize and execute Communications mission strategy and objectives
  • Facilitate communications between the Chief Communications Officer, Communications senior leadership team and broader Communications organization translating vision into actionable plans
  • Oversee prioritization and preparation for executive level meetings and development of executive briefings and correspondence
  • Ensure Communications leadership team has the background and context to make critical decisions
  • Work with various functions (e.g., Government Affairs, Business Areas, Global Business Development and Strategy, and other Corporate functions) to ensure appropriate coordination in support of business and mission priorities
  • Liaison with executive leadership and key customer counterparts for engagements at the highest executive levels
  • Work closely with all levels of the company from C\-Suite and executive leadership to individual contributors.
  • Basic Qualifications:

  • 10\+ years of related professional experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education
  • Manage multiple activities and work well under deadline pressures.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills, along with analytical and problem\-solving abilities
  • Project and/or program management experience
  • Demonstrable business and financial acumen to support budget planning and resource management
  • Technical writing experience
  • Proficiency in MS office
  • Desired Skills:

  • Masters degree.
  • Leadership experience
  • Demonstrated experience effectively interacting with all levels of the organization, including Executives
  • Demonstrated diplomacy when interacting with all levels of internal and external customers
  • Ability to make presentations to senior management
  • Strategic planning, prioritization, and decision\-making experience
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Comfortable managing up to leaders, and having “ownership” of the workload (creating efficiencies, identifying the highest priorities, creating boundaries where needed, etc.)
  • Have a strong understanding and experience with various marketing communications functions (external, internal, executive, etc.)
  • Attuned to communications trends and tools in the industry and competitor actions
  • Be able to understand, digest and act upon detailed, technical information; ability to balance multiple projects and adjust priorities in a dynamic, deadline\-driven environment.

Ability to Work Remotely:

Part\-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.

Work Schedules:

Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Schedule for this Position:

4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week

Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $124,900 \- $220,225\. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

Benefits offered: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Short\-Term Disability, Long\-Term Disability, 401(k) match, Flexible Spending Accounts, EAP, Education Assistance, Parental Leave, Paid time off, and Holidays.

(Washington state applicants only) Non\-represented full\-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6\.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.

This position is incentive plan eligible.
