We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP). Full time or Part Time. The PMHNP will provide psychiatric evaluations, diagnosis, and treatment, including medication management/brief psychotherapy, for patients with a wide range of mental health conditions. The role includes working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to ensure quality, comprehensive mental health care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and mental health assessments.
- Diagnose mental health disorders based on DSM\-5 criteria.
- Develop individualized treatment plans in collaboration with patients and the care team.
- Prescribe, adjust, and monitor psychiatric medications in accordance with state laws and clinical guidelines.
- Provide psychoeducation to patients and families about diagnoses, treatment plans, and medications.
- Collaborate with psychiatrists, therapists, social workers, and primary care providers to coordinate care.
- Document all patient interactions and maintain accurate and timely medical records.
- Participate in case conferences and team meetings.
- Provide crisis intervention or referral to emergency services as needed.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA and other regulatory requirements.
- Candidates with an established referral network or existing client base are highly preferred, as this role offers the opportunity to grow and shape a developing caseload.
- Master’s or Doctoral degree in Nursing with a focus in Psychiatry.
- Current and unrestricted APRN license in North Carolina.
- Current and unrestricted RN license in North Carolina.
- Board certification as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP\-BC).
- Valid DEA registration for prescribing controlled substances.
- 1\+ years of clinical experience in psychiatric/mental health care necessary.
- Excellent communication, assessment, and clinical decision\-making skills.
- Experience with EMR systems.
- 50% profit split (Part\-Time)
