Position: Regional Sales Manager

Position Summary: The Regional Sales Manager (RSM) is responsible for driving profitable revenue growth within an assigned geographic territory by developing and executing regional sales strategies, managing key customer relationships, and leading sales execution efforts. This role partners closely with internal teams to deliver customer\-focused solutions while advancing CMD’s mission of Making It Better Together.
Essential Functions:
- Develop and execute a regional sales strategy aligned with company growth objectives.
- Achieve or exceed annual and quarterly sales targets, bookings, and margin goals.
- Build, maintain, and grow strong relationships with customers, distributors, and strategic partners.
- Identify new business opportunities and expand CMD’s market presence within the assigned territory.
- Manage the full sales cycle, including prospecting, needs analysis, proposal development, contract negotiation, and closing.
- Collaborate with engineering, operations, marketing, and customer support teams to deliver high‑value solutions.
- Provide accurate sales forecasts, pipeline updates, and market intelligence to leadership.
- Represent CMD at customer meetings, industry events, trade shows, and conferences.
- Ensure customer satisfaction by supporting project handoff and post‑sale follow‑up.

- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum of 5–10 years of progressive sales experience, preferably in capital equipment, manufacturing, or industrial solutions.
- Demonstrated success meeting or exceeding sales targets in a regional or territory‑based role.
- Experience working with distributors, channel partners, or OEM customers is a plus.
- Proficiency in CRM systems, Microsoft Office tools, and virtual meeting platforms.
- Ability to analyze sales data and prepare reports and forecasts.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel as required.
- Capacity to use standard office equipment such as computer, telephone, and videoconferencing.
- Ability to navigate manufacturing floor environment, which may include walking on uneven surfaces, climbing stairs, and standing for extended periods.
- Capacity to wear personal protective equipment such as safety glasses, ear protection, and hard hat as needed.
- Ability to tolerate exposure to moderate levels of noise, vibration, and varying temperatures in a manufacturing environment.
- Ability to follow health and safety guidelines and protocols including emergency procedures.
- Regular, predictable attendance is required.

Work Environment: CMD is located in Appleton, WI. Our three facilities operate by secure entry, are well lit, air temperature controlled for comfort, and clean with low noise. Physical Demands:
Status: Full\-time, exempt.
Travel: Up to 40%, regionally and overnight in the United States. Occasional international travel is required and necessitates a valid US Passport.
