We are a growing landscape and lawn care company focused on providing high\-quality mowing and landscaping services. As we continue to grow, we are looking to bring on someone who can help us understand, manage, and improve the financial side of the business.

Position Overview

We are seeking a detail\-oriented and experienced Financial Coordinator / Bookkeeper to manage our day\-to\-day financials and, more importantly, help us clearly understand our profitability.

This role is not just about data entry—we are looking for someone who can organize our numbers, interpret them, and communicate insights that help us make better business decisions.

Key Responsibilities \- Bookkeeping \& Financial Management

  • Maintain and update financial records in QuickBooks Online
  • Categorize transactions and reconcile bank/credit card accounts
  • Ensure accuracy and organization of all financial data
  • Reporting \& Analysis

  • Prepare and present monthly Profit \& Loss (P\&L) reports
  • Break down revenue and expenses by service type (mowing vs landscaping)
  • Track key metrics such as labor costs, materials, and overhead
  • Identify trends, inefficiencies, and potential cost savings
  • Business Insight \& Communication

  • Clearly explain financial reports in simple terms
  • Help determine overall profitability and areas for improvement
  • Provide recommendations to improve margins and efficiency
  • Meet regularly (monthly or biweekly) to review financial performance
  • Collaboration

  • Work with our CPA/accountant as needed
  • Assist with financial organization for tax preparation
  • Help improve systems for tracking and reporting financial data
  • Qualifications Required:

  • Experience with QuickBooks Online
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and/or Google Sheets
  • Solid understanding of small business financials (P\&L, cash flow, expenses)
  • Ability to organize and interpret financial data
  • Strong communication skills (ability to explain numbers clearly)
  • Preferred:

  • Experience working with service\-based businesses (landscaping, construction, etc.)
  • Familiarity with job costing or labor tracking
  • Experience improving financial systems or processes
