Completes and supervises month end closing procedures. Maintains documentation for compliance to policies and procedures, as required. Prepares and reviews account reconciliations, reviews accruals for reasonableness and ensures compliance with accounting principles. Assists in accounts analysis and financial planning and budget. Experience working with Epicor (ERP) is a plus.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

· Performs month end GL entries and assists Controller with preparation of Monthly Close.
· Maintain and update prepaids and accruals schedules.
· Support and assist in financial statements preparation and variances analysis.
· Perform daily posting of accounting transactions.
· Handle daily cash duties and related reporting.
· Work within ERP(Epicor) system to enter and review financial data.
· Create and maintain accounting documentation.
· Fixed asset management
· Research and resolve simple and complex accounting transactions.
· Maintain and reconcile monthly balance sheet accounts.
· Assist with year\-end audit preparation and requests.
· Participates in continuous improvement initiatives.
· Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Controller.
Essential Skills and Abilities
· Bachelor’s degree in accounting with four plus years of accounting experience
· Posses and applies thorough knowledge of accounting principles, company and federal/state/local regulations, policies and procedures as they relate to financial statements.
· Intermediate to Advanced Excel Skills and proficiency in other Microsoft applications.
· Experience with ERP systems, preferably in manufacturing (Epicor a plus) but not necessary.
· Strong analytical skills
· Is project and solution oriented
· Possesses strong interpersonal, organizational, planning and communication skills.
· Demonstrates good knowledge of proper accounting procedures.
Physical Demands and Work Environment
· This position will require the following: walking, sitting, using hands and fingers to handle or feel objects/tools/controls, reaching with hands and arms, balancing, stooping, talking, and hearing.
· While performing the duties of this job, this person may be exposed to a noise level that is usually minimal but may be elevated at times.
