How you'll contribute
A Medical Assistant who excels in this role:
- Performs routine clinical and administrative duties in support of assigned area of office.
- Under the supervision of physician or nurse, assists with performing patient assessments and treatments.
- Performs basic diagnostic procedures and specimen collection.
- Monitors and communicates changes in patient condition.
- Documents patient care given.
- Maintains equipment and medical supplies, including reordering, stocking, cleaning, and troubleshooting.
- Maintains examination areas.
- Performs administrative or clerical duties as assigned, including filing, reception, scheduling, data entry, and patient registration.

What we're looking for
Minimum Education
High school diploma or equivalent required
Graduate of accredited medical assistance program or equivalent required
Required Skills
Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
Certifications
AHA Basic Life Support (BLS), within 60 days of hire
Licenses
CCMA, CMA, or RMA

STRHS\-Lawrenceburg, formerly Crockett Hospital, is a 99\-bed, acute care facility located in Lawrenceburg, Tennessee, 85 miles south of Nashville.
We have been providing the best healthcare in Lawrence County and surrounding counties in Southern Middle Tennessee since 1974\. We expanded the facility and services in 1991 with the addition of an Outpatient Surgery Unit, a state\-of\-the\-art 24\-hour physician\-staffed Emergency Department, and an Intensive Care Unit. The hospital opened a 10\-bed Physical Rehabilitation Unit in 1997, and a Women's Health Center in 1999\. Diagnostic imaging services include in\-house MRI, Nuclear Medicine, CT, X\-ray, Digital Mammography and Ultrasound. The Rehabilitation Unit provides Physical, Occupational and Speech Therapies. In 2009, a $5\.6 million construction was completed which expanded the Emergency Department, Outpatient Surgery Unit and Registration area.
