- Perform front counter assistance for walk\-in customers of the City and County of Broomfield
- Answer/direct phone calls and correspond with customers of all types via email, website and Internet applications
- Process passport applications
- Perform Notary Public
- Assist residents with utility billing payments, property tax payments, and various assessor questions
- Coordinate meals for meetings
- Performs semi\-complex to some complex receptionist/clerical/administrative tasks that may include providing customer assistance and information, data entry, cashiering, bookkeeping
- Answers incoming phone calls, screen inquiries, route calls or visitors to appropriate departments, and manage customer appointments and meeting schedules.
- Arranges appointments, assists in scheduling meetings, greets visitors, receives and responds to correspondence, and handles incoming and outgoing mail in an organized manner.
- Performs administrative support tasks including typing, filing (physical and electronic), copying, and preparing reports and presentation materials.
- Maintains filing and record systems, assists in tracking inventory, activity reports, receipts, memberships, and customer accounts, among other records.
- Operates multi\-line phones, printers, copiers, and basic computer applications (word processing, spreadsheets) to support daily office operations.
- Prepares purchase orders and processes invoices as assigned.
- Compile special periodic reports, presentations, and compose non\-routine correspondence
- Conduct periodic studies, analyses, and research on a wide variety of topics.
- Typically involves some project work

- High school graduate or GED equivalent \- required.
- 4 years of administrative support experience in an office setting including customer service and front desk duties \- required.

Ideal Candidate Traits
The City and County of Broomfield is looking to fill one full\-time non\-exempt position for the main front counter at the George DiCiero City and County Building. You would be the initial point of contact for residents, provide a variety of information and services to residents, and act as a liaison between residents and staff (when necessary), to assist in the resolution of resident concerns and problems. Additionally, this position will float hours to the Motor Vehicle Department approximately 15 hours per month.
This position is regularly scheduled 8:00 a.m. \- 5:00 p.m. Monday\-Friday and may include occasional holiday, weekend, and evening hours. Position includes excellent benefits; please see the Benefits tab for details.
Total Compensation Package
Salary Range: $26\.15 \- $35\.39/hour
The starting salary is dependent on education, experience and in alignment with CCOB’s compensation philosophy.

Must be at least 18 years of age. Must be a U.S. Citizen as this position requires processing passports.
