Cambridge Business Institute (CBI) was established in 2009 in NYC and moved to Hempstead in 2016\. Cambridge is a vocational trade school and a professional testing center. The School is licensed by the NYS Department of Education and is an eligible training provider for NYS Department of Labor and Hempstead Works, VA and Adult Career Continuing Education Services – Vocational Rehabilitation (ACCES\-VR).
Cambridge currently provides vocational training in the areas of: Allied Health in Nursing Assistant, Home Health Aide and EKG and Phlebotomy; and Security Guard. The school provides internships and job placement assistance to the students.
Cambridge’s professional testing center provides proctored exam service in a highly secure environment. We provide high\-stake exams in IT Certifications, Industrial Licensure exams and distance learning assessment services.
We are a computer testing center within a vocational and technical school in Hempstead, New York and currently, we are looking for test proctors with combined roles as an Office Assistant.
JOB DESCRIPTION
- Multi\-functional responsibilities in a fast\-moving environment with accuracy
- Answers the telephone system for the purpose of responding to inquiries, transferring calls, and/or taking messages. Answer inquiries for the school’s training offerings, schedules, and course information.
- Maintains inventory of forms, activity calendar, etc. for the purpose of ensuring availability of items for school and class use.
- Processes and maintaining test\-takers' documents, records
- Maintains school lobby, test room and classrooms in a clean and tidy condition
- Assist other school and school functions as required
- Be able to work on Saturdays.
- Be able to pass all the test vendors proctor exams to become certified proctor in accordance with the test vendors’ service guidelines within two weeks
- Be able to handle the payment accurately
- Provides career and training course information to potential students;
- Performs miscellaneous job\-related duties as assigned.
- Minimum High school graduate with good organizing schedules
- Punctual and take full responsibility for the work
- Good communication skills both verbal and written
- Computer literate, know to troubleshoot simple technical issues.
