Summit Learning Charter is looking to hire a Secondary Assistant Principal to support our growing charter school and amazing school community.
Summit Learning Charter began in 2008 and has had continuous growth with a current enrollment of over 1450 students. We are a K\-12 blended virtual school that is sponsored by the Estacada School District, committed to providing students with a flexible, personalized, and rigorous education that combines online learning with in\-person opportunities. Job Position Summary:
As the Assistant Principal, you will partner with the Secondary Principal to create an elite hybrid learning experience for our students. You will serve as the lead for our specialized pillars—Counseling, Career Technical Education (CTE), and English Learners (EL)—supervising these teams to ensure every student has a clear pathway to success. As our Secondary Assessment Coordinator (Grades 6\-12\), you will navigate the logistics and data\-driven insights of OSAS, STAR, and ELPA testing. This is a role for a collaborative leader dedicated to fostering a high\-quality, inclusive community for both our virtual and in\-person learners.
This is a hybrid position for the 26/27 school year, requiring 2\-3 days on campus each week, and 2 days working remotely.
Core Responsibilities:
* EL \& CTE Program Leadership: Supervise and evaluate EL and CTE staff.
- + Ensure 100% compliance with ODE mandates, including Perkins V funding, the Annual EL Plan, and ELPA/ELPS testing.
- + Partner with the Counselor to implement the ASCA framework and build a robust Multi\-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) specifically designed for virtual learners.
- + Analyze data to bridge learning gaps and inform instructional shifts.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, talk and listen and must regularly stand and walk.
- The employee must have the ability to carry supplies and may occasionally lift up to 25 lbs
- Master's degree in Educational Leadership, Administration, or a related field.
- Valid state administrative license.
- 1\-2 years of experience in educational leadership, preferably in a secondary school setting.
- Background in counseling and/or English Language learners preferred
- Experience in leading or supporting hybrid or online learning environments preferred.

+ Collaborate with community partners to expand CTE pathways and industry\-recognized credentials.
* Student Support \& MTSS Oversight: Supervise the Counseling and Student Support teams.
* Secondary Assessment Coordination: Serve as the Secondary Assessment Coordinator, managing the training, scheduling, and administration of state and local testing (OSAS, STAR, ELPA).
* Operational Excellence: Collaborate with the Executive Director and Director of Curriculum to build an annual master schedule that prioritizes both graduation requirements and CTE pathway growth.
* Visionary Leadership: Cultivate a "growth mindset" culture that supports a safe, inclusive, and high\-achieving environment for both in\-person and virtual students.
Work Environment \& Physical Demands:
We operate within our school building and professional office environment, as well as from our personal home offices. This hybrid schedule allows for in\-person collaboration and support along with flexibility and private work space through remote work days. There will be some evenings and weekends you may be required to work or attend such as events, meetings, and school activities. There may be regular travel to school events, meetings, and conferences.

This is an employment opportunity with Summit Learning Charter.
* Duration: 235 Days for the 26/27 School Year
* Salary starting at $138,000/ Annually (based on related years of experience.)
* Location: Hybrid between Eagle Creek school campus and home office.
* Time Off: 5 Personal Days, 80 hours of sick time.
