Medical Assistant / Allergy Technician (Hybrid Role)Job Overview

Allerexa is seeking a dedicated and skilled Medical Assistant / Allergy Technician to join our growing team. This is a full\-time hybrid position that combines clinical care, patient interaction, and administrative responsibilities across multiple settings.

Our team delivers allergy testing and treatment directly to patients through an innovative, in\-home care model. This role requires flexibility, independence, and a passion for providing high\-quality patient care in a dynamic environment.

Work Environment

This is a hybrid role requiring work in:

  • Patient homes
  • Allerexa office locations
  • Remote (work from home)
  • Partner provider offices
  • Travel is required. Mileage reimbursement provided.

    Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license are required.

    Schedule

  • Full\-time position required
  • Schedule based on patient needs
  • May require evening and weekend availability
  • Key Responsibilities

  • Perform allergy testing and treatment in patient homes and clinical settings
  • Administer injections as part of treatment protocols
  • Conduct patient intake, including vital signs and medical history
  • Educate patients on treatment plans and provide ongoing support
  • Maintain accurate documentation in electronic health records (EHR)
  • Coordinate care and follow\-ups for allergy programs
  • Travel to various provider locations partnered with Allerexa
  • Support scheduling, patient communication, and clinic operations
  • Qualifications \& Experience

  • Experience as a Medical Assistant or similar clinical role required
  • Experience administering injections is required
  • Allergy technician experience is a plus, but not required
  • Strong understanding of medical terminology and patient care
  • Familiarity with EHR systems
  • Ability to work independently with strong time management skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Requirements

  • Experience as a Medical Assistant or in a similar clinical role
  • Proficiency in administering injections (required)
  • Willingness and ability to travel to patient homes and multiple provider locations
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
  • Comfortable working in a hybrid environment (home, office, and field)
  • Strong understanding of medical terminology and patient care practices
  • Ability to work independently with strong time management skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Comfortable using EHR systems and mobile technology for documentation
  • BLS and ACLS certification (required; provided by Allerexa upon hire)
  • Ability to adapt in a fast\-paced, patient\-focused environment
  • Must be motivated, dependable, and committed to professional growth
