Job Title: Building Envelope / Field Consultant (Mid\-Level)
Location: Arizona, Texas, Hawaii (Travel Required)Employment Type: Full\-Time
About the RoleWe are seeking a mid\-level Building Envelope / Field Consultant to join our growing team. This role is ideal for professionals with 3–8 years of experience who are comfortable working both in the field and with construction documents. The position involves a mix of on\-site construction observation and technical review during the design phase, supporting a wide range of commercial projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform field inspections of building envelope systems, including roofing, waterproofing, facades, and glazing
- Conduct site visits on active construction projects (including roofs, scaffolding, and lifts)
- Review construction documents including plans, details, and specifications
- Provide quality assurance / quality control (QA/QC) observations and reporting
- Communicate effectively with contractors, architects, and project stakeholders
- Prepare clear, detailed written reports
- Work independently while managing multiple projects
- 3–8 years of relevant experience in construction, consulting, or inspection roles
- Strong understanding of building envelope systems and construction practices
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and technical documents
- Experience in commercial construction environments preferred
- Comfortable working in the field in varying site and weather conditions
- Strong attention to detail and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and proactively
- Building envelope / enclosure consulting
- Commissioning, QA/QC, or inspection services
- Commercial construction (Project Engineer, Assistant Project Manager, Superintendent, Inspector, QC roles)
- Roofing, waterproofing, glazing, or facade contracting
- Architecture or architectural engineering
- Civil, structural, or construction engineering
- Special inspections or materials testing
- Manufacturer representatives for exterior building systems
- Combination of field and office work
- Frequent site visits requiring physical mobility (climbing, lifting, working at heights)
- Not suitable for candidates seeking fully remote or office\-only roles
- Regular travel throughout the Southwest region
- Occasional nationwide travel
