What You’ll Do
Event \& Program Technology Support
- Provide hands\-on technical support for in\-person, hybrid, and virtual programs.
- Assist with setup and operation of livestreams, including cameras, microphones, audio systems, and streaming platforms.
- Support recording of programs, ensuring proper start and stop, audio clarity, and video quality.
- Prepare and test virtual and hybrid sessions, including participant access and presenter readiness.
- Serve as on\-site technical support during events, responding to and resolving issues in real time.
- Provide clear and calm guidance to presenters and participants on use of technology.
- Assist hosted groups with basic audiovisual setup, including projectors, sound systems, and microphones.
- Assist with basic video editing and uploading of recorded content to platforms such as YouTube or internal systems.
- Support organization and storage of media files and digital assets.
- Help maintain organization, cleanliness, and functionality of media and technology equipment.
- Report equipment issues or needs to the Media and Technology Coordinator.
- Maintain a simple log of supported events, noting technical issues and follow\-up needs.
- Work collaboratively with Communications staff and other departments to support programming needs.
- Communicate clearly and respectfully with presenters, participants, staff, and guests.
- Complete additional duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Windows and general computer use.
- Familiarity with audiovisual equipment, livestreaming platforms, and video conferencing tools such as Zoom, OBS Studio, or YouTube.
- Basic knowledge of office productivity tools such as Microsoft Office or Google Workspace.
- Comfort troubleshooting technology issues in a timely and composed manner.
- Experience with video editing software such as Adobe Premiere is preferred but not required.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work with diverse groups.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively, particularly during evenings and weekends.
- Reliable, detail\-oriented, and adaptable in a live\-event environment.
- Prior experience in IT, media technology, photography, videography, or audio production is a plus.

- Part\-time position with hours based on program and event needs.
- Regular evening and weekend availability required.
- Schedule is driven by program needs and will be communicated in advance whenever possible; flexibility is essential.
- Ability to lift and move equipment up to 30 lbs.
- Ability to stand for extended periods during events.
- Frequent bending, reaching, and setup of equipment.
- Use of appropriate equipment and safe handling practices for all technology and media tools.
- Awareness of cables, electrical setups, and event environments to ensure safety for all participants.
- Promptly report any safety concerns, hazards, or equipment issues to the supervisor.
