Position Overview:
The Finance Intern supports the Finance team by assisting with day\-to\-day financial and administrative tasks while gaining hands\-on experience in corporate finance and accounting operations. Through this internship, the individual will receive mentorship from experienced finance professionals and have the opportunity to develop both technical and professional skills in a collaborative environment. The Finance Intern also provides general administrative support to the Finance department and assists with special projects and other duties as assigned to support departmental initiatives and learning objectives.
Responsibilities:
- Support the transition to fixed asset accounting software by assisting in data validation and reconciliation of fixed asset listing
- Review for completeness and accuracy of new projects set up in ERP system and communicate with team to resolve issues
- Assist with monthly Cash transaction research and I/C transaction processing.
- Maintain organized financial records and documentation
- Assist with data entry and ensure accuracy of financial information
- Provide general administrative support to the Finance team
- Assist with special projects and other duties as assigned.
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications
- Basic understanding of accounting principles is preferred
- Strong communication and time management skills
- Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism.
- This position does not require travel.
- This position primarily operates in a professional office environment, requiring the ability to work at a desk for extended periods while using a computer, phone, and standard office equipment.
- The position involves sitting for extended periods, performing data entry, and engaging in frequent communication via email, phone, and in\-person interactions.
- The role involves regular communication with team members, clients, and stakeholders, both in person and through virtual platforms.
- The physical demands of the job may include occasional standing, walking, bending, and lifting of office materials up to 15 pounds.
